whats so hard about buttoning with guards then marking and bombing it? or a flank with a t34 for a ram on the back, which pens 100% of the time? or just AT guns since elefants are worthless against infantry?
speaking of being worthless vs infantry, if you can micro it, you can just move 1 inf squad around in front of the elefant. thanks to the fact it cant hold fire, it will slowly rotate and shoot at infantry while you flank around the other side.
and before you say "what about the support!?", what about YOUR support?
edit: damnit krono, whyd you have to beat me to it...
it all looks good when continuous is checked. if thats off, its no longer in 2 rows like it used to be. even the ability and cp images are all out of alingment. maybe thats just for me though
against any real AT, the extra armor of the p4 does nothing. an extra 160 hp always makes a difference, no matter what. the t34 has HALF the scatter, making it much better vs infantry, as well as 10 more pen. to me, this makes the t34/85 better both offensively and defensively. the t34 gets 2 mgs for free, just like the p4, but the t34s are actually stronger last i checked.
the p4 does have better abilities and the pintle upgrade, ill give you that. to say it can shoot planes is kind of a joke though. it has a 1% chance to take down a plane and it prioritizes ground targets. so unless you buy tanks to sit them in the back lines and do nothing, your tank wont take down planes enough to really be worth considering it in terms of balance.
other people have also made the point, it has no tech cost
EDIT: the difference in RoF is 4%. id rather have my tank actually pen and be able to hit infantry than shoot 4% faster.
Then why not 320/115 for single one and discount for double call-ins?
After all this is P4 level tank that will come much later now.
What is the reasoning behind putting P4 level tank 1 CP before IS-2/Tiger?
To me that doesn't make much sense.
the t34/85 is better than a p4. it doesnt need another cost reduction. also, t34/85 spam without teching was far too common last patch for a reason. there was no incentive to tech when call ins came out so early.
you guys need to think about this in terms of balance. if the t34/85 can be called in 1 at a time with the same cost as the double call in (and even at fewer cps as some have suggested) why would anyone want the double call in? the single would be better in every way.
the main advantage of the single call in is flexibility. say you want a t34/85 and su85. now that only requires 245 fuel + teching as opposed to 355 fuel. also, if you dont have 240 fuel once you hit the cp requirement, you wont have any tanks with the double call in. the single call in lets you have 1 tank on the field while you save up enough for the other one.
why would you ever want the double call in if the single comes out sooner? the single call in is already more flexible since you dont need to float/invest as much. the single call in needs to have a disadvantage other than the slight difference in cost.
so then you think devs should never add anything new to games unless its free just because you dont want to buy it? its not fair that some people can have things you cant just because you dont want to pay for them? does this sound a little entitled and self centered to anyone else? as nice as your idealistic little dream sounds, we all know that will never happen. thats like saying its not fair for anyone to have a better car than you just because you dont want to buy anything more expensive than a civic.
im not even talking about balance here, because you guys have clearly said even if things are balanced its p2w. even "50% wins" is p2w in your eyes, which even an average player without dlc should be able to achieve. hell, even pre ordering is p2w by your definition because you got premium commanders for free that other people no longer get. sorry, but you guys are never going to be happy with those kinds of standards.
So, with that logic, every single add-on for CoH was pay to win? From what I remember you could play against Brits, even so you had never bought the add-on.
how about the reward units in ToV? thats extra options you had to pay for. guess thats p2w too.
