They are not good enough at range... they are really onbly effective on mid/close range, but then again, ppsh cons are too
uhh penals are one of the only squads that can do 9 dps at long range. thats more than an lmg squad, but slightly less than a g43 squad. if youre only using them at mid-close range, youre using them wrong. |

How are the SU85s going to handle it when the Tiger Ace arrives with the super speed ability the second it hits the field? Also it has super range and a pretty fast fire rate so it isn't just a 'normal Tiger'.
its the same as a normal tiger that has vet 3. kind of funny to call it "super range" when its still 10 less than an su85. and its "super speed" is only when blitzing, otherwise an su85 can outrun it. su85s easily handle the new tiger ace. |
the notes never specified that only the 82mm got nerfed. it just said "Precision strike now deals the same amount of damage as the main barrage weapon" which does imply it affects both mortars.
its worth noting the flinch radius is NOT the same thing as the AOE. the 120mm precision AOE has not changed
also, build time is linked to unit cost, so reducing the CE cost by 30 mp also reduced its build time by 3 seconds. |
there is such a thing as giving too much intelligence, especially considering its a 0 cp ability. its arguably the best 0 cp ability in the game since it has no cost, no drawbacks (other than you only get 4 usable doctrinal abilities) and it lasts the entire game (no cooldown or anything). it used to just be in shit doctrines, so no one cared. |
More and more I play with T34/85 commanders...i'm even more [overzealously] convinced 9CP is way too late. Had several matches where I see multiple stugs, or ostwinds, or p4s hit the field 5min+ earlier before a T34/85 hits the field. Coupled with the long recharge time, you're forced build T3 or T4 to have any armored presence on the field. Should be 8CP like the KV1.
First, commanders are not meant to overshadow the core army or its tech. They were designed to supplement the player's army rather than define it.
in other words, youre SUPPOSED to be building t3 or t4. the strategy of saving that teching cost to spam more call ins is exactly what relic wanted to address. |
And you think it'd make it?
Also - just one Con with an AT nade near that Kat and your 222 is toast.
considering my friends and i do it quite often, and im sure noise has as well, the answer is yes, the 222 will make it. he most likely wont get out alive, but thats a very good trade for the germans.
im not sure what makes you think a p4 push will be more successful than a 222. the p4 is slower, a lot more obvious, and much more expensive, so its riskier. the soviet will just reverse his kat into his base when he sees a p4 trying to hunt it down. then you run into cons/guards and you have 115 fuel stuck behind enemy lines |
Hunting downs kats...I have never seen that work. Doesn't everyone put their kats behind their su85's? And if I have kats I also went guards, so...
really? this was incredibly easy to do. no one ever said the 222 has to get out alive
you just find a hole in the defense and sneak over to the kats. sometimes you get unlucky and run into cons/guards, but for the price, its worth the risk.
ill admit this will be harder to do now though since a single 2.5 second burst will no longer kill a katyusha. now youll have to keep the 222 near the kat for the 4 second cooldown + part of the 2nd burst. the same goes for killing m3s. |
notice he said it can SUPPORT a defense against a t70. it obviously cant solo it. the 222 has a 63% chance to pen the front, or 100% from the back, so it can do some pretty good damage against the t70. also, since it shoots 5-7 shots in a 2.5 second burst, the t70 will barely take 2 shots in that time. so if you can get behind it, you could take about 1/3 of the t70s hp for 1/2 of the 222s hp. |
so german arty will rain death upon AT guns, but your kat will miss due to scatter and rng? hmm
anyways, your katyusha isnt for killing supporting armor... it only has 50 pen. you might as well use a t70 to kill tanks. instead you barrage those mg42s you mentioned. it can also take out a halftrack if youre lucky. that allows you to push forward with infantry
even if you cant force the mg42 to retreat, why would it pin down everything? you shouldnt blob all your infantry right up middle. you need to flank units like the mg42 and elefant... its the same way you should fight a stug with a t34 or an su85 with a p4. |
considering most people can already kite just by staying out of AT/faust range, i think this would be too forgiving. its easy enough to back up, stop, shoot, back up again. |
