it's not pure RNG. It's about distance. TA should not win at any range. It won 3/10 fights so...
It;s very simple. If you have vet 3 IS-2 and see Tiger Ace, keep it at 30-40.
Did you do any maths to support your claims? Sample of only 10 fights is pretty RNG dependant.
As for the maths:
TA will kill IS-2 about 9,2% faster at close range, front armour.
TA will kill IS-2 about 17% faster at max range, front armour.
TA will kill IS-2 about 13% faster at close range, rear armour.
The edge isn't huge and on each of those ranges TA can lose. But your claim is just false.
It shows really great what are advantages of each tank, and how use it to make most use of them.
Actually, you've only shown that you should pray to RNGesus, because statistically, Tiger Ace should win against vet3 IS-2 at any range. And the TA has the biggest edge at long range (which in your video it lost).
Howcome Irregulars and Jager Light Infantry don't seem to be listed anywhere? Irregulars might be one of the two Partisan units listed (partisan_squad_maxim_hmg_mp and partisan_squad_nagant_rifle_mp) , but it's impossible to tell. In-fact, are MP Partisans even listed either?
They are most likely missing the _mp suffix, will check it out and add them if that's the case.
You have listed the KV-1 speed as 6.7 which is probably wrong since KV-1 is slower than T-34.
Great work thou. Keep it up
(You are right, I was looking at wrong one but it way the name units is rather confusing. )
That's how they are named in the game files (including indications that they are "multiplayer" units), so unless I'd want to manually rename each entry and/or clean up those which aren't used in game right now (and I don't want to do that, since it's a lot of extra maintenance work), there's nothing I can do.
If you want an example of the state Relic is keeping those files, you can take a look at this.
Now compare it to the JP4 and SU85 which is what the Jackson closely relates. Dedicated AI-less Medium Tank destroyer.
Less HPs
Larger Target Size
Less Armor
Less ROF/DPS
Less Pen
Less site range
Turret YAY and Slightly better speed (but it aint no Blitzing Panther)
Or if you want to see what a Jackson could be like Add Mark Target to a T34/85 and you get less Pen slightly less reload but More HPs Armor and it has AI. Of course the less Pen isnt an issue as you arent going to go Point blank with a Jackson and you can easily with the T34/85 because OMG IT CAN FLANK since it doesnt die to a couple of shreks instantly!
All the wonderful things said about the Jackson. Its OK. Its not GREAT. Its just OK. It could use a buff imho and since its really good versus medium tanks the Buff should be to Pen as it doesnt matter on a Medium anyway.
I just compared it to those tanks, because PwnageMachine claimed Jackson has worse DPS than they do.
If you want to compare those tank destroyers, you can do it yourself here, here and here.
Despite having 240damage, look at the actual DPS of the gun compared to a Panther, Panzer IV or Tiger because of the huge rate of fire difference. You will find the dedicated tank destroyer has less DPS than heavily armoured multi purpose frontline tanks. Let alone the penetration and every other single advantage of the Axis armour.
Ok.
Assuming 100% accuracy (like at point blank range etc.):
M36 Jackson - 32,92 DPS
Panther - 21,(3) DPS
Tiger - 30,47 DPS
Panzer IV (Ostheer) - 27,82 DPS
Panzer IV (OKW) - 26,(6) DPS
As you have shown, Jackson clearly has less DPS than those tanks you've listed.
And why would shrecks need a nerf!? What is OKW suppose to use as their standard AT if they do get a nerf? The Rankenlol? The single tank that they can field all game? While both russians and USF bring 3+ tanks to the game. Good plan bro.........
Sorry, could you not put words in my mouth?
I never said they should nerf schrecks or not. I just said that nerfing schrecks for OKW doesn't mean the Ostheer's schrecks would be nerfed too.
Remember that a Shreck nerf also directly hits Ostheer which only recently got the Pak 40 nerfed...
That's actually not true - OKW's schreck is a different weapon (game files wise) than Ostheer's, so nothing stops Relic to change one and not the other.
I think if you'd want to make a proper analysis, you should've compared time to kill, instead of shots to kill - since bazookas and PTRS are shooting faster than panzerschrecks.
Not that it will change the results (panzerschrecks >> everything else), but it would be more "correct".
OKW's fuel income is actually 2/3 as far as I know. 66% is just a rounded down number. In any case, considering puma as a 105 fuel unit is unfair. OKW units' high fuel cost (=less income) is compensated by other advantages.
By the way, I think it is fine that an AT mine one shots puma. Play USF and try to bait puma into an AT mine. You will find it difficult unless your opponent is less skilled than you. In my experience, only 1 of 3 mines does its job while the others are disarmed or ignored whole game. Spending 180 munition is a huge investment.
It's not about the percentage, but how the adjusted cost is calculated - the incorrect cost of 93 fuel for Puma is achieved by multiplying it's cost by 1.33, while I should have been divided by 0.66 (or 0.(6) depending on how precise you want to be).
