If AA meant an insta kill on planes if it's on the zone: sure leave them as they are. Since this is not the reality we live on, we don't need skillplanes to be in the game.
I guess for you it was completely fine the IL2 wipe plane which use to target units like the P47 or the strafe pin of death.
Offmap are area denial, not instawin buttons.

I know it's kind of off topic for what you're refering to but I'd like to see the Molotov animation time reduced. The Molotov itself is mostly only good for area denial and the animation is so easy to read. |
Obers drastically over preform for price. There may have once been a reason for that in beta but no longer. The problem with a single weapon like the lmg-34 having such high dps is that not only do obers have great defensive stats, when every burst kills a model, they quickly reduce the dps out put of the squads they're fighting, further improving their survivability.
Obers are non doctrinal, easy to tech to, have no muni cost, have insane dps that can be done at max range, have great defensive stats compounded by vet and model sniping and are available to a faction with low up keep costs and no shortage of man power. It's fine that they are a strong unit, it's not fine that they are as strong as they currently are with almost no draw backs. They need to be adjusted. |
I think the IL-2 is perfect atm. It's the JU-87 that needs to be tweaked. Ju-87 is completely undodgeable and one shots mediums. It's totally broken and I'm kind of suprised it hasn't been hot fixed. |

My performance seems nearly the same but those lag spikes into fast forward moments are occurring much more frequently. Tried to play a game with a friend last night and it was happening every few minutes where as the patch before it was like a few times per match. |
Great post. The thing about flamethrowers has bugged me for awhile. It's one of those things that seems like it was meant to be "cool" but has a really crappy effect on gameplay. I'd be fine with the flamethrower still exploding if the last model in the squad dies, but otherwise no.
Reliable flame throwers would help ost a ton on building heavy maps, add a little dps to con strats that don't have ppshs and overall reduce rng cheese. I'm not sure if they're afraid of pio spam 2.0 but with no vet 2 armor bonuses on engis/pios and so many early light vehicles for all factions, I can't see pio spam being a thing again just because of a flamer change. |
As noted, the M5 with assault engis can reinforce squads and it's basically the only reason to get the thing. It's so fragile though that you almost have to use it like an ambulance that can sort of defend itself against pure AI units. It's still pretty funny to watch how poorly it deals with obers. Mechanized doesn't have much going for it other than the early kubel counter and the awesome arty so I think the M5 could easily use a health buff to add more to the commander. |
I think a good fix for the raketen would be modifying the ready-aim time first, and seeing how it is then. The raketen does quite well later in the game, and is cheap enough to build 2 of, so I think that we should take small steps in changing it. Its biggest weakness is the time it takes to fire the first shot.

I still think obers are a huge part of the issue. Obers are so insanely efficient at killing infantry that you really need vehicles to counter them at which point the volks/shrek blob makes using combined arms an issue. Make obers buy their lmg or just tone the damn thing down to sane levels of dps. |
