While I may still be young and have my wits about me, marijuana is taking a toll on my clicking speed
In all seriousness, I've had a thirst for more strategic games for awhile. HoI 2 filled that a long time ago but it had it's limits and I can stomp the AI now. HoI 3 is too deep and too micromanagement oriented, even if the AI control helps a lot. It feels like a great concept but poor execution.
What are some slower paced RTS games? I don't need HoI 3 grand strategy but I do enjoy them. I'm trying to learn Supreme Ruler 1936 but it's
hard. I've always been a fan of RTS but I feel like I'm slowly getting choked out by micro as games get faster. But with all the indie blowback lately, surely there are some good ole armchair generaling games to be played!
On HoI 2, I miss being about to set everything up and run it for a week or so of not having to do anything (in game time of course) and
generally not having to click much. I miss that slower paced where I'm focused on the future and a vision, vs analyzing a bunch of in game data for a tactical maneuver. My micro sucks because it's just not enjoyable for me to micro.
I like armchair generaling.
That said, can anyone throw me some titles? MoW AS 2 is awesome and the ability to inflict mass casualties on gimmicky maneuvers makes for a great
blend of macro and micro. I like to try to play as realistic as possible within certain limits (some milsims are too much man).
