Not sure about this guys.. Its the only move they had left - player numbers were shrinking and the original community of COH they were banking on shunned their game - so bringing back the original makes perfect sense. Thread: Standalone America + Germany DLC28 Mar 2014, 16:27 PM You have to almost feel bad for the COH2 team - their game has failed to the point where they've basically given the community what they wanted - vCOH 1.5. Though the nickle and dimeing of the past we've seen - $100 "Collector Editions" - P2W DLC etc - I really am in 2 minds of participating in this. The only reason I'd buy this is to get a functional vCOH online experience. To be perfectly blunt - I won't miss the poorly designed Soviet faction and the "original" blizzard tech one bit. Thread: Sandbags!26 Mar 2014, 22:34 PM Since the Dev's have realized that cover makes a difference (as though they had forgotten everything from vCoh...) It's time to give the sandbag build back to engineers/pios. I'd love to see just how good this system of cover importance will be at late game when half the map is blown to smithereens and all green cover is mostly destroyed. But - that'd actually require me to start playing the game again - which to be perfectly honest I haven't touched now for a few weeks. In: Lobby

The game should favor a diverse army composition but not enforce it. Unfortunately this seems to be the COH2 design philosophy - limit your basic options and expand them through "DLC". All the things we considered to be basic options in vCOH are now DLC exclusives: - Forward HQ's - Tank Traps - Trenches - etc.... To make matters worse the lack of an early game hard counter to snipers - i.e. jeeps/mb's - just makes this game that much more frustrating. Currently - as a Wehrmacht player - your only effective hard counter to sniper spam is a T3 Ostwind/Panzer 4....I mean, that's a joke right? In: COH2 Balance

So its not exactly fair that one of very few possible counters requires you to not only PAY more - it also restricts you to a relatively poor commander. In: COH2 Balance
