Rifle grenades received a serious nerf in the last patch - I wouldn't hurry to call them OP now. Au contraire, for their price they kinda' perform like shit.
situational, gotta target the spot where they bunch up the most, sometimes u strike jackpot and shave 5 models off a squad, sometimes its one. though, on the average its about 3 models for each rifle nade. on top of that, they have an awesome range and fire from safety, difficult to watch their animation when they can just fire off from their current position. i wouldnt call all that 'perform like shit'.
similarly, molotovs insta burn models on impact, sometimes one, sometimes 2, sometimes no casualties, just a small bit of hp. pretty rng based.
Because teching factors into the Panther's initial cost, but you keep ignoring that.
To get a T-34/85 or a M4C, you generally buy T1 and/or T2, Molotovs, Anti-Tank Grenades. To get a Panther, you get T2, T2, and T4. In the below, I assume the Soviet has bought T1, T2, and both base upgrades.
While the Panther is clearly superior in the AT role, it lacks in the AI role and being outnumbered means it'll be on the defensive as soon as it hits the field.
u are comparing with call ins, which are the problem right now.
panthers should be compared to su85s or t34/76, which all of those require teching. and in that sense, panthers are justifiably priced for their strengths and ease of use.
asking panthers to be buffed is not fixing the problem at all. buff panthers and give t4 early access, soviet t3 and t4 will become non-existent with all that t4 armour rolling around and the same problem starts all over again. in that case, all commanders without call in tanks would then be made useless.
depends, wuff. how badly was she cyber bullied and who did them. if she knew who did them and couldnt do anything to stop them, i wouldnt be surprised if the bullying became overboard and she committed suicide.
but for a random gaming community with your mother insults and shit, people who cant keep their temper in check because of some random guy early gging him.
160pen is the short range value i took to represent the best chance. if a t34/85 can get into short range of a panther and you do not have grenadiers to faust it or paks with their insane dps values to smack t34/85s stupid. that's not the unit's problem, its the player's lack of tactical deployment or unit composition.
realistically, t34/85 is gonna have 120pen at long, thats only ~44% chance. thats a pretty good chance for panthers to deflect shots.
reason is now, t34/85 comes in pairs(doubling the dps, though no issue here.), comes without tech cost (therefore cheap) and comes at 9cp which is usually slightly after panzer4.
im not sure why people are calling for stat cost to be factored, then REFUSE to understand that the problem has got nothing to do with the stats, its call ins vs teching.
stats wise, panther is still a superior but more specialized unit. at frontal engagements, the best chance for a t34/85 is a pretty okay, 60% chance to penetrate and do damage. the panther beats t34/85 reliably with more range, more armour and a better gun. long story short, its still an effective anti tank platform.
however, the problem here is not that panthers are total shit at their job, the problem is that t4 is inaccessible being prohibitively expensive and players can skip teching cost and use call ins making call ins undoubtedly cheaper and cost effective. a german player can stay with heavy t2, dont tech for bp3 or 4, stall for tigers effectively and still have an end game unit, without any teching cost. not only that, they can bring them out the second tigers are available, since teching cost are saved and spent on tigers. it is a simple and more effective form of resource usage.
similarly for soviets. fuck the su85, t34/85 is a more effective option. all the soviet player has to do is to build t2, use guards and hilariously crappy support weapons to carry the mid game, then once with 9cp, the t34/85 comes to break the line. there's no need to spend that resource on su85s, its just more effective with call ins.
so the point here is, dont focus on the symptoms, instead tackle the root of the problem.
while dane's a superb caster and should be respected, what he says may not be of the whole picture.
simply put, the current factional balance is more than the sum of its parts. he has failed to factor in the german's superb unit scaling and late game power and only speaks on german's early game weaknesses which are also escalated by soviet's early game superiority.
but he has rightfully stated that most of these balance issue, are because it is more economical to spam call in units than tech towards it. german t4 is not seen much because its counters already hit the field before then, the t34/85. same thing with soviets, germans can call in tigers and p4 command tanks much earlier than their respective counterparts or their intended tier to be called in.
I put a lmg squad in green cover and it wins from any soviet infantry at any range safe for shocks but as soon as critical mass in grens is achieved even that is no longer a problem.
sounds like LMG over performing for cost, rather than pgrens being bad at what they do.
if gren spam is a problem, its not that other units are crap at what they do, LMGs are pretty fricking awesome.
it seems like what people want is german superiority over every, single, aspect. infantry? check, support teams? check, armour? check.
great replay, but shows alot more problems to the game. to be honest, is2 just need a slight buff to its hp and maybe turret speed but thats optional. its currently at a pretty good position in tank vs tank combat.
more importantly, when comparing tigers and is2, its not the performance of these tanks against each other, they both can have a chance of destroying each other.
however, its german superiority its anti tank gun thats blunting the potential of is2. paks have an amazing dps with good penetration values and really puts a stop to is2/ or any other soviet armour rampage with a steady stream of effective fire. not only that, its available every game with the t2 meta for germans.
yet the tiger is still so cost effective despite having somewhat similar stats to the is2 is because of soviet rather crappy AT, more specifically, the ZiS gun. it has a subpar dps and inherent weakness with long reloads, which means a miss or deflected shot gives alot more time for tigers to recover/retreat/charge forward into safety zones. on top of zis being bad, its also not readily available to all soviet strategies because of it is prohibitively expensive to get t1 or t2 without delaying t3/t4.
