When one squad is in it will instantly kill the entire squad. I haven't tested this on more than one unit because my enemies usually aren't willing to throw more than 1 into a building at a time. I think you're right, nevertheless the flame halftrack isn't so hard to deal with, just go T2 get an AT gun and use the Russians normal mines. think of it like going back to coh1 but you're dealing with an early m8. Thread: Can we please get rid of winter maps in automatch???????????13 Aug 2013, 02:29 AM I've never had issues either with COH2, I run into one player every say 30 matches where someones pc seems to be really struggling. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad but you can never really prepare for next gen / current games with the current pc hardware market (unless you have thousands to spend on "future proofing" your machine). The average pc gamer has to be ready to adapt and pay to keep their machines running the top games. Games are some of the highest demanding processes for the everyday pc unless your video encoding all day and doing studio level audio work, crazy stuff like that. Take this into consideration: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore's_law It sucks, but the reality of being a PC gamer is that your gonna constantly be "chasing the dragon" trying to keep your pc up to date. If you cannot afford it, then sometimes you're going to be shit out of luck and it's not really the dev's fault. To give you an example, I spend 300-500 every year or two years to make sure I'm up to date part wise, and I use old parts to create old computers, file servers, or whatever I need. (Maybe just backup parts). If you aren't custom building pc's and you're a hardcore gamer I'd highly suggest picking up the ability to recognize the parts in your computer, what generation they belong to, and how they are compatible as well as what might be bottlenecking your system. Also, I'm sure there's a lot of people here that can help you. Just post your specs. Lastly, I believe there is a whole separate forum for hardware discussion on coh2.org edit: it may be impossible for dev's to test every mix / matchup and every single piece of hardware / driver to make sure you don't run into issues :/ In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Reworked Doctrinal system13 Aug 2013, 02:16 AM I like the idea but it would force relic to rework everything. I want to believe they're willing to make big changes but do they have the manpower? Are they happy with the game and the way its designed? I have to admit I really do miss the old doctrine setup. Currently, the games are getting dull too quickly and your doctrinal options run out if the games go longer than say 20-30 minutes. It then turns into a limited option spamfest. It's like eating cheap raman with some ragu store bought and comparing it to a nice ma and pop's Italian resturant. Yea, both are considered food but the homemade stuff will be a bit different each time, be higher quality, and will keep you coming back for more. In: COH2 Balance

It's pretty well known that the hard counter to the flame half track is the "marcus car" (guards in a scout car). Try it out, it really wrecks it. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: KV-8 is too cheap.12 Aug 2013, 18:20 PM Guys, I mean no offense but the kv8 behaves just like alpha / flammenwerfer flamethrowers pre nerf. It insta-kills everything. I've literally used these kv8's (which take a shitload of damage might i add and are difficult to stop) to stop my opponent from winning multiple times. They come fairly midgame, they have a low fuel cost, and absolutely incinerate infantry. If you think their damage output is OK I ask you to do a test. Host a game with a friend, make 4 PG squads, I bet you that within about.... lets say 8 seconds all 4 of those squads are dead. Then I ask you to repeat the test but then have the kv-8 moving towards these squads. As they retreat you will watch them all die just as fast as they would if they were standing still. Does it need to be nerfed? I believe without a doubt. It has multiple functions. It can take on tanks due to its high armor and it can roast infantry, it's a pretty good tank it doesn't need to be absolutely spectacular and easily spammable. This is just bad gameplay being able to spam 1 unit over and over and over. I'll try to find one of my replays where i used it to really destructive means. I mean I literally just drove these things into my opponents base over and over. He would finally kill the first one then I would drive the second one right back in. the match was fairly even until my kv hit. In: COH2 Balance

The rest of the 1vs1 maps are waaaaaaaay to big and just not fun :/ . Giving us the choice to deselect these maps (and / or choose random armies) would be awesome. In: Lobby
