IMO a SVT rifle upgrade would be perfect if ppsh's are going to be doctrine specific. I definitely agree though, conscripts become pretty useless pretty quick and don't scale well into the later game. |
Agree with Trainzz. I have no idea what you guys expect for a unit that needs no tier building, comes fast, and is what... 50/ 55 fuel? (cannot remember). it's pretty good for when it hits the field and what it does. |
There are a lot of people angry about the new DLC on the forums. I can completely relate to this by the way.
But the worst thing, that has apparently come for free(!) with this new DLC is censhorship on the forums. I see a lot of threads getting locked for not a particular reason. Things like wrong titles for instance, this has never been a problem before. But ESPECIALLY the threads who are critical and discontent towards the new DLC, seem to get locked asap.
Is this censorship or what? If you don't like the negative attention then you shouldn't add these pay to win elements in the game.
What are the things you going to do relic? Send us to prison in Siberia? This is not Soviet Russia, you tend to forget that.
Can you really not realize those posts were locked for common sense reasons? For example: constant non constructive complaining, personal insults (flame wars), and continuous whining. Hell, the admins will usually tell you WHY it was locked on the last post before they shut it down. This is a game fan site, where people want to talk about balance, gameplay and strategies. I've been avoiding posting here lately because of all the shit posting going on, and I'm glad they're moderating it. |
Hey man, great post, nice to see something well thought out in this sea of crap. But unfortunately Tycho is right, a lot of people would freak. The old CoH vets would rejoice, the new players to CoH2 would flip out, and you'd have a bunch of angry people who paid for commanders.
+1 internets for the post though |
If input lag could get fixed (whatever is causing the problem) it would be a huge step forward. I think fixing the big problems instead of pumping out DLC is probably the way to go. |
Can we get a flower skin please? |
I started calling it "the doctrine with the tiny at gun" and that's about it :/. Also agreed, 80 fuel for something that can go down in a rifle nade? I'm not so certain that's worth the risk. |
I want to stress that Radio Intercept is a free constant passive, and pretty much unprecedented as such.
I think that value needs to be considered.
He's got a point, you literally know what your opponent is building. So you have to just build the right stuff to counter and the downside is you lose some versatility without having guards or shocks as infantry. It's pretty balanced IMO |
I use this commander a lot for fun with a 3 conscript > penal then tier 2 opening. You usually have to put a munitions cache on a point or two. They're in the game for a reason, try that first.
Also, you have to think out of the box a little bit. For instance, I use my tier 2 anti tank guns, with some well placed mines to deal with armor, then go tier 4 for for a katyusha and start winning my infantry engagements or force some retreats. Then try to get out an SU-85 if needed, or maybe more support weapons or a sniper depending on the amount of enemy infantry. Yea, there's a lot of munition heavy abilities but to be fair the russians abilities are often "spammable" so you have to think a bit more before you chuck molotovs left and right. It's why I get penals, so I have a good flanking flamethrower combat unit to dislodge enemies out of buildings and not worry so much about molotovs. Some games I literally do not even get molotovs. Just something to note. |
Guys it's simple, grens help site for your MG, Mg shoots at targets. It's not a standalone unit anymore and it never was in COH1 and wasn't intended to be in COH2. Maybe it suppresses a tiny bit less than it should be if you use it correctly it's still absolutely deadly. |
