I dont mind strong units when theyre actually killable in a reasonable amount of time. going from .80 to .90 is a pretty huge nerf and a big part of the reason why the tommies are getting their butt kicked in. While I agree with the sentiment that unit should be killable in a reasonable amount of time, that toughness is part of the tommies' characteristic. Removing that toughness will require a significant overhaul. In: COH2 Balance

Usa get captain with double zooks at that time And 3 bars on 3 rifles + 4th rifle. Okw will have at this time 2 shrecks on 2 volks and 2 sturmpio + 1 volk - because of longer early game due no other ability that spam infantry until 55 fuel (mechanized , you dont want to get medics if you can get luchs 10 fuel later) So it will be something like tis most of times. As you can see USA can defeat OKW at this point so i think it is fine (bars defeat shrecks and stuar + captain defeat luchs) while also okw can defeat USA (shrecks kill stuart and luchs will wipe rifles) so i think here it is more abouut tactical depth and baiting into finishing trap whitch i think is completley fine , game should be also about tactics. the weapon rack upgrade cost 150 mp and 15 fuel. Getting the weapon rack will inevitably delay his stuart. The USF wouldn't have access to grenade or healing either. By comparison the okw are sure to have grenades and grenade and will be a generally superior position if both went for Light tank. In addition, if the stuart does manage to come out first, the OKW also have the option to go for a puma instead. In: COH2 Balance

Just replace that particular critical. alternatively, the critical shot should only cause a disable engine if the light vehicle's hp is less than 75%. Basically make it work like the faust/at nade. This way a sniper can't instantly disable the engine of a full health 222 or luchs. For those who are wondering: 240-40 = 200 (83% hp) In: COH2 Balance

IS are being just tossed around like nothing vs volks the volks are fine. Soviet with maxim can handle the volks perfectly fine. The Tommies' nerfs need to be reverted, but keep the veterancy nerf. Also if you flank the AT gun, you can threaten it and the blob won't be able to retaliate because it will be suppressed. It's like saying that if you have a machine gun behind your blob, infantry are useless. The difference here is that a mistake with vehicle positioning is punished much more harshly than one with infantry, but the concept is exactly the same. That said, this is why the kubel was awesome. AT guns had a hell of a time hitting it giving you more time to suppress + eliminate the AT gun. The flak HT isn't as lucky, unfortunately. use flak ht on an open field and it get killed by atg. use flak on a urban field and it get swarmed by infantry coming from 12 different direction. Thread: suppression and the OKW...21 Nov 2015, 03:00 AM in my experience, the lack of suppression isn't really a problem, in the beginning anyway. In the early game, the volks with sturm is capable of fighting against conscript and rifleman without the need of a hmg. The problem is when the conscript and rifleman reach terminator vet and completely outscale the axis infantry. It is more of a problem with the terminator vet. The other problem is that LeIG had become reliant on its suppression. It needs a ROF and/or AOE buff in exchange for the suppression removal. It also need to do damage to garrison. The allies all have hmg the OKW need to deal with. Lastly, the flak ht is technically the OKW's suppression platform, it just have crap survivability. In: COH2 Balance

I'm saying the schreck has become a crutch and also an excuse to give volks poor scaling. Giving the volks faust would give them the flexibility to engage both infantry and tank at the same time, making them more useful. Schreck blob is a poor mechanics and leave the volks in a sad state. Removing the schreck and replace it with faust will improve volksgrenadier. yes, volks blob is a poor tactic that can be easily countered, but it's also the only thing the volks are good at. Give volk more tactical flexibility by giving them faust and let us be rid of schreck blob. In: COH2 Balance

We are trying to make the volks go sober. Schreck promote blobbing and discourage tactical play. The biggest advantage of a schreck is its alpha damage. This mean the upgrade actively encourage the player to spam and blob his infantry for the ability to one hit tank. On the other hand, a lone schreck volk is weak against infantry and meh against tank. There's a reason why the allies avoid putting bazooka and PIAT on their line infantry. US usually put bazooka on their Rear echelon since it leave their rifleman free to fight infantry. One Faust is a lot more threatening than one schreck since a damaged engine leave them significantly more vulnerable than a lost 120 hp. A faust provide synergy with the OKW's other ATW. It allow your infantry to contribute to a tank battle without needing to be massed. In addition, now that the volk kar98 is actually decent, getting the schreck will mean a noticeable lost in anti-infantry. Combine with the terminator veterancy on the rifleman and conscript, this mean volks actually turn into crap late game. I want faust on schreck because I volks to be useful for more than just blobing and spamming for that Alpha damage. A Faust would give volks a lot more tactical option than just going for that critical mass. A change to faust will be a buff to the volks. In: COH2 Balance
