Even peasant partisans can throw grenades yet the Soviet combat engineers with less durability,DPS, repair speed and no option to put away sweeper do not have a grenade. Hell rear ech don't have a grenade, pioneers don't have a grenade. OKW special snow flake. the sov engineer can get flamethrower, something the sturmpio usually lack. In: COH2 Balance

Why would you ever build a unit that is too expensive to tech, too expensive to build and even takes too much population Just because panthers are survivable that dosen't make them good tanks. It's suprisingly hard to kill anything with them. They have slowihs rof and they miss from the move often. Panthers get usually pushed back by at guns before they can kill their targets. the panther have an excellent combination of armor, hp, and speed that given it excellent survivability. It can outrun anything it can't outfight and outfight anything it can't outrun. It also have 50 range meaning it can out range anything it can't outfight. If it have good dps on top of all those advantages it would be unbeatable. yes, the panther is not perfect, and that's the point. If there's a unit that's truly perfect with no weakness then it would be overpowered. In: COH2 Balance

The pak43's piece terrain ability also allow you to place pak43 behind houses and shield it fromm the isu in most cases. right now the jt out-range the 17 pounder, meaning the 17 pounder can't defend itself. Both light howitzers have become dependent on their suppression to be effective. While I'm happy to see it go, their base rof and/or aoe need a buff to compenstate. In: COH2 Balance

And T-34/76 to be tier 3? KV-1 served in the Sovjet army between 1940-1945. I would rather make existing unit in the tech tree usable before adding more units in. Penals and t34 76 are the last two weak link in the soviet tech tree and both units just need to be stronger. US flame rifleman have already shown how powerful the combo can be. Buffing the t34 76 would have the same end result as moving the t34 85 into the tech tree. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: UKF will be hopeless with the new patch23 Nov 2015, 06:58 AM after a bit more fight... this patch is going to encourage british lmg blobbing. With the nerf to the lee enfield and the decrease of the out-of-cover penalty, the british are encouraged to use more bren and use simple attack move instead. here is a chart listing the vanilla dps of the lee enfield and bren, but in and out of cover. The biggest effect is actually on the tommies' bren gun. This means that the british are discouraged from using a simple lmg blob and attack move his way into victory. The penalty mainly serve to punish mindless bren usage. Unfortunately, with the lee-enfield weaker and the penalty lessen, british player now have more incentive to spam bren gun and attack move to victory. (update: apparently the lee enfield nerf isn't even in the preview, although all the other tommies changes including the vet nerf, the RA nerf, and out of cover buff are still in) In: COH2 Balance

The critical shot can not be avoided, it comes out of the blue. Okw has also no snares on their core units but at least a schreck and their call in snares (falls, fusiliers) are good units that can be used in viable strats. While the boys at rifle squad is rather meh, even with the upcoming changes. You will simply have to rely more on the AEC now and we will see how it turns out. I've seen the AEC in action and I'm not impressed. The 20mm on the luch can reliably damage the AEC. The volks will have Faust or schreck, and will reliably ward off the AEC. In: COH2 Balance

Again, Panzerfausts can be kited and avoided. A cloaked unit that has a 50 range invisible "panzerfaust" has no counter play. except now the british doesn't even have a reliable source of AT snare. Panzerfaust can be kited but still present an obstacle. That's still better than the tommies' lack of at snare and the PIAT's inability to hit moving target. In: COH2 Balance
