Retreating my tactical combat group in wrong position so that my units retreat through the other player's blob with the result that my army disappears.
The picture is Vietnam era if its to be trusted. Would not be surprised if game is WW1 -> Cold War, getting a pure WW2 AoE almost certainly not happening.
Something like this could work and I would like it. First infantry from WW1 which can be upgraded, then the tanks that come in the end of WW1, and so on. But I hope the time span is 1914-1945 and the scene is Europe.
I think it will be WW2, but I would prefer CoH3 to be WW2 and AoE4 to be something else, for example early modern warfare. Even WW1 would be better than WW2.
can't know for sure which is the worst between mediocre teammate and leavers.
There are even a worse thing, inactive players.
There should be a voting system, a similar system as in Rainbow Six Siege, so that you can kick inactive players or team killers. And the AI could be better.
I voted for North Africa, but I would also like the Italian front. Maybe a combination would be the best alternative, that is, the game begins in 1941/42 in Crete and North Africa, and ends in the Italian front in 1944/45.
As Brits in team games it is easy to counter the MG-42 spam (if you mean 3 or more MG-42s) with fast teching and a fast mortar pit. I prefer the Sim City Regiment in that case, because you can build the mortar pit with Tommies.
The first option doesn't have anything to do with the problem at hand (it would of course be still welcome, due to the higher vulnerability of smaller squads to explosives).
At least when I play this game as Ostheer my grenadiers get one hit squad wiped by grenades and mortar hits. That would be avoided by changing the squad formation, and then I would have some more grenadier squads with veterancy alive in the late game.
Because that wouldn't in any way solve the underlying problem: Axis infantry stops working during the late game against especially USF, because USF infantry simply rolls over them in any scenario.
There are of course many possible options to deal with this: 1) Changing squad formation for the Axis infantry 2) Doing something to the riflemen veterancy 3) Doing something to the riflemen weapon slots. I think that doing these things, does at least make the Axis infantry lite better against the USF in the late game.
