If you're fighting HMGs using HMGs you are already doing it wrong. because it reduces enemy HMG's ROF and thus reduces its suppression potential. It is not a counter, but it can be used to an extend. Maybe in terms of 1v1 it is not that useful, but in teamgames this ability can be potent. Although I have no idea whether it would be OP or not. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: A case for rec bonus for 5 man gren29 Jan 2021, 22:05 PM Sherman accuracy is 0.5...0.25 (near..far). Vet3 Gren's target size is 0.91. Riflemen's is 0.63. Grens get 20% reduction. The difference between hitting a vet 3 riflemen vs vet 3 grens with M4A3 is (0.05...0.025) * 0.91 * 100%= 4,55..2,28% for Grens vs (0.05...0.025) * 0.63 * 100% = 3,15...1,58% for Riflemen So basically the difference is around 1%. If there is an issue with survivability agains AOE, it should not be connected to unit's target size. In: COH2 Balance

Sure they can't stop vehicle from bullying them. That seems very different from VSL m8. And grens don't have to face PGrens (stock unit), Falls and Obers (stock unit). Also elite Axis infantry have nuke nades and ridiculous fuse time gonna get nerfed next patch (read patch notes). AFAIK '-20% damage' applies to damage from all sources, it is not just an RNG stat like 'Received Accuracy'. In: COH2 Gameplay

The balance is better, at least better then 2 years ago when I started playing. All the unfun stuff to play against like call-in panther, toxic heavy tanks, falls with fausts and ISU hold position bleeding machine were or will be nerfed. So on average it's all good. I just not sure after nerfing core units faction will be brought to equilibrium by buffing niche and situational units. Perhaps new Mobilized Reserves timing buff is strong. Kinda sad, since SOV is my favorite factions. I already spam a lot of Brits lately, probably gonna play even more of them with new patch, or just insta-pick Airborne for SVT cons. The OKW patch is looking juicy tho. Cant wait that one. In: COH2 Balance

We'll see about penals, although I never liked the unit same with su-76. In fact I never like T1 and the 'all-in' vibe that it brings. In: COH2 Balance

This. Pretty much PPsH guards are extremely situational, since they have pretty mediocre RA for CQC squad. Even vet3 squad can't get near survivability of vet 0 shocks (which is equals to 0.66 against small arms). But I don't complain, since it is an option along LMG guards. In: COH2 Balance
