In the hands of a skilled player the USF halftrack is very good right now. You are very right indeed. It is actually a great counter against OKW Luchs. It decimates it easily. I highly advise you go to the game and check the real price. And while you're at it, I highly advise you to check its vet. Vet2 to be precise. According to this site https://www.coh2.org/guides/29892/the-company-of-heroes-2-veterancy-guide Vet 2 rate of fire (+33%) and setup (-33%) and rotation speed (+25%). These are most certainly nice bonuses and it does make it better. Without a shadow of a doubt! Timing you are most certainly right. Comes earlier for OKW than Luchs in comparison and for USF teching time also. I do not know if I am the only one experiencing this. Somehow FlakHalfTrack seems to vet slower compared to USF AA halftrack when you compare in reaching Veterancy 3. Used them the past few games and I feel it is tougher for OKW flakhalftrack to acquire vet in comparison. It just felt easier using the USF AA halftrack. Maybe I am might be wrong about the vet being harder to acquire, assuming that the vet requirements are higher for OKW FHT. Maybe it is due to the fact that USF can engage more combat situations comfortably. I am not sure. What do you guys think? That is how I currently feel about it! In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Conscripts idea "Human Wave Tactics"10 May 2019, 20:08 PM I think this Conscripts is a good idea. Conscripts were not even trained. Learned to shoot that is it. Limited training because they were militia more or less. Read Great Purge, explains everything. It would be nice to promote this idea "Human wave tactics" that was used during the war. The movie was just as an example. A lot of Hollywood movies are bs and some biased. I have read books also about it, so I know what I am talking about. Give the 7 man early upgrade. costs 50 ammo After 1 base built. Last Base 8 man squad. 50 ammo for each upgrade. Last base becomes available. No need for weapon upgrades. As they upgrade the Conscripts, the refill price becomes cheaper but have a slight increase in received accuracy. Create this atmosphere of huge waves of Conscripts. Increases the vet rate also. Currently they have default 1.09 ra and refill costs around 20. 1st man upgrade becomes 1.23 price refill becomes 17. 2nd last upgrade would be like 1.4 ra and price refill become 13. The good part about getting these upgrades is the fact you will vet even faster. All-in all an interesting feature that would spicen up Soviet gameplay. Check History stats, SU had the biggest army at its time and was renowned for it, they suffered and sustained many casualties cuz many conscripts fought on the front-lines. Died in mass quantities due to poor training and equipment. Best weapons and equipment were given to the elite such as the red guards, shock units and penals, makes sense. Conscripts just had the numbers and mosins, and captured weapons. In: COH2 Gameplay

At least G43 would make it alternative for those who want longer range. Nothing OP like STG and yet still something different. In: COH2 Gameplay

One of those is equivalent to 2 mortars firepower. It is just that good. I think wehr mortars needs to shoot a little faster. Howie shoots at the same speed. 3./ It is not a bad idea. I would rather improve both the engineers and pioneers for both SU and WEHR. Make it fair and square. It is a good idea tough. Wehr units just need some options to improve their state of survivability mostly, it is what is required. Hold ground better and even to push with infantry better. So if killed by arty is unlucky atm imo. On the arty front you cant do much really, other wise why bother with arty if it cant break up the enemy. Su 82mm mortar is the best example of this. Them main survivability issue is double equiped ukf/usf main lines with their nades and 5 models. They need nerfing a long side with volks and penals. I believe this will improve the grens survivabity a lot and keep it balanced. Soviet by design can take a lot of fire, but they face a lot more fire power. A p4 quite often kills 3 conscripts in 1 shot and fires faster then the t34. A t34/t70 usually kills only one but quickly get the next model. The rifle and bundle can completly wreck 6 men. Molly doesnt and stachel gives ages to avoid. I do applaud you for being creative with solutions to problems even while i disagree. Cheers mate. I do appreciate your opinion and for your understanding. The fact other mainlines are better and have more equipment kind of downgrades Grens and Cons to that extent. Grens and Cons on a similar bases are supportive defensive units. While Grens deal more firepower and Cons have more men (they are exact opposites). It is difficult to evaluate what the best ideal solution would be and I do agree that other mainline infantries do have the upper hand in many more situations due to the factors you have already stated. Grens and Cons could get more upgrade options at least where Cons can get more firepower and Grens more survivability. That would be nice. Do not know what exactly, but those are the things that both of these mainline infantry needs. In: COH2 Gameplay
