1: Just because a unit isn't normally used in that fashion doesn't mean it can't be used in that way. Stumpios are excellent at holding a green cover position vs charging rifles.

2: False I never said Pgrens's primary use was to protect Grens. I said stock elite assault units exist for Axis which is entirely true. There are 2 axis units with full 4 Stg models.

3: Talking about realistic scenes in game is as good as "What-aboutism" Your premise is also incomplete and essentially listed core game mechanic in an attempt to say L2p.

4: The Sub-forum COH2 Balance is for balance discussion yes. I question your motive if you are here without the intent of discussing faction balance; in particular, Brit Balance.

That being said, I do think Brit sections shouldn't be beating assault troops 100% of the time on approach. I really hope the balance team rethinks this dependency on Bolster and choose to either pivot off of it or reserve Bolster as a T3 locked upgrade instead.

And Tommies are 270mp long range unit designed to excel in cover. As a member of the balance team it's a bit alarming that you are flat out saying "it doesn't matter if you are using the unit EXACTLY as it's intended to do and the enemy is using NONE of the tactical features like cover or vision and are supposed to win because their unit costs 10% more.

At what point are Tommies supposed to be able to win, if not under ideal circumstances and with the enemy doing nothing at all to reduce incoming damage?

Can we get a statement on the record as to if the direction of the balance team is to ensure that the only variables that matter in infantry combat what so ever going forward is cost?

Is this going to start applying to vehicles as well? Will a p4 driven in reverse (because no attempts what so ever to reduce incoming damage while at the same time making a mockery of core game mechanics) lose outright to a t34/76? Keeping in mind there is a decent cost difference in play here.


No. If the sturms were closing in yellow cover at even partially I would buy this reasoning but not closing head on against a squad that that is dug in and is SUPPOSED to excel under those very static restrictions.

TBH, he "destroyed" Luvnest, after losing 3 squads in the early game and Luvnest basically gift him 3 more expensive units in return.

RET spam was going horrible and Luvnest had either to rush a bit faster that P2 or play safely and gaining map control with the P2. I don't think he had enough muni for any weapon at that point nor the upgrade been done. And the LT had been killed not too long ago.
