The Black Prince is still in testing after the end of the war.

But it was fabricated before the end of the war. And could have been driven to the front. Just like a V2 'could' have been used tactically, and that's all the justification we apparently need to drop one onto an infantryman's head.

The hardware existed.

And not that he did not participate and not even close to being in the war (Especially in Italy). Once again, this is nonsense. Today it is the Black Prince, tomorrow it is T-44, IS-3 and so on. All this just creates a precedent that the game would turn from a game based on the Second World War into a World of Tanks.

Loads of things in CoH are nonsense.

Tactical V2s, Ai pilot goliaths, sturmtiger barrages.

There's a clear purpose as to why they would allow parity in heavy tanks, given they are such a large part of the game's meta, and the allies did indeed build and test the vehicles (but never sent them anywhere)

The Russians already have a late war heavy tank in service, so there's no need to include anything that never saw service.

I always find it odd what people do and do not take umbridge with. It's so arbitrarily selective that I can't help but laugh.

V2 you can aim with pinpoint accuracy on the head of a single soldier? Fine because the V2 was fired, sound logic.
Magic wallhack halftracks? Absolutely fine. The physical thing existed so what it does is 100% irrelevent.

People who care about historical accuracy and immersion so much they'll have a fit about a prototype unit designed being used in a game series where you can fire two panzershrecks inside a garden shed with absoutely no consequences.

People really like to pick their standards of historical accuracy when it suits them.

I get why it's there. The meta of the heavy tank being the culmination of the tech tree is a thing. The US and UK didn't waste the resources fielding fleets of ever larger heavies in the real war (because, make no mistake, heavy tanks were a waste) - so dragging out some vehicles that went through trials is a way to avoid the skew towards the Axis. And the other churchill designs exist, so visually it's pretty small deviation. They didn't even adjust it to reflect the wider hull.

I'd rather see a BP than a Centurion. Even if both of them were designed and first minted in '43 and '45.

I wonder if they'll stick with the Pershing for the US, skip it alltogether, or we'll see the M6 heavy roll in from the testing grounds...

Penals + a mortar have been able to do this since the game went live

Can even do it with engineer squads and demo charges

USF can do it with demo charges (combat engineers or paras) and any of their two mortar options and/or pack Howie

Even OST have joined the party with a mortar and their demo pioneers in that one commander!

What you really want is 6 man Mosin Guards without anything else.

This is exactly what I want yes.

I have always been so sad that the gaurd mosin, which is so accurate on the move, has a squad that starts with 1/3 or its guns unable to fire on the move and finishes with 2/3 of them unable to fire on the move.

Let me buy guards with no weapons! PTRS a free timed upgrade like stormtroopers!
