I mean last time in the winter patch preview the raid package was introduced and quickly turned down, I really don't get this push to introduce a slightly different IS for brits. Especially in a doctrine which already introduces flamethrowers for engies (molotov redundant) and provides commandos (bar-like vickers redundant). ~~Or is it done in a desperate attempt to get some advertisement money from Raid Shadow Legends?~~ In: COH2 Balance

You mean the assault artillery from breakthrough doctrine? And perhaps the new 105 mm arty from scavenege. Bren is a standard issue weapon, Vicker K is not. I mean if we really want to make the bren into a bar, then the vickers would take its place. Otherwise infantry sections would suffer a nerf, at long ranges at least. But I still say the vickers should receive a buff to its current profile to emphasize its lmg role more, while restricting its availability a bit in return. In: COH2 Balance

Edited: To make it clear, i dont have much of an issue with the profile. But take look at the animation, in game, bar is fire from the shouder and look basically like a rifle, but the vicker k is just big, chunky and seeing a non elite troop running and firing with it while he cant do the same with a lighter bren is somewhat annoying (to me) I wonder if replacing the bren rack with a vickers rack would be possible. With new stats, its an LMG exclusively by name, just like BAR. But BAR is Browning Automatic Rifle. Even back in WW1 it was designed for walking fire. In: COH2 Balance

Right now okw players are forced to put them around their battlegroup hq unless an ostheer 251 ht helps out. Forward reinforcement, a powerfull off-map and a dedicated anti-infantry tank which okw generally lacks. The opel wasn't meant to be used as a battle bus, so the armor nerf is justified The cost reduction on the leig napalm isn't imo, as it was primarily used to delete british emplacements (it's super effective against them) and this change makes it even easier. And even against other static soft targets, like weapon teams, the ability is quite effective imo. It may not kill them outright, but deals a significant health damage and also forces a redeployment or retreat. With the napalm rounds a leig can gain vet super fast at which point it becomes even more effective with normal rounds. In: COH2 Balance

Actually that would make sense, so there would be no more elite bren but instead they would have vickers K, visibly representing the better stats. However something would need to be done then about the gap left at the heavy sappers and the M3 supply HT. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - Soviet Feedback1 Apr 2021, 06:48 AM Jump back to quoted post1 Apr 2021, 06:10 AMJibberJabberJobber They might have lost some shock value, but overall I'd say they got buffed: AT Partisans - Require upgrade time - From 2 CP to 1 CP - From 280mp to 210mp + 60 munitions - Vehicle Detection added - From rifles that were team weapon crew equivalent to rifles that are guard mosin equivalent - 23% lower veterancy requirements - From 8 to 5 pop - No longer need tech for AT nade - (Not sure if some of their previous veterancy got brought over to them) AI Partisans - Require upgrade time - Can be reinforced up to 5 men once upgraded. - Cost from 210mp to 236mp (reinforce included) + 45 munitions - From 4 to 6 pop (reinforce included) - No longer need tech for Molotov This does put them in a slightly better light than the info shown in the notes, but they are still the same, fragile models, right? Spending 60 muni on a squad that may get wiped in a glimpse, ugh... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - British Feedback1 Apr 2021, 06:35 AM The Vickers K change just feels... wrong. It is an LMG, like it literally has lmg in its name. And every other lmg in the game is most effective at long range. The BAR is an automatic rifle, so its ok to have a different profile. Instead of turning the Vickers K into a british BAR it should be made even stronger imo, almost in-line with the LMG42 or M1919. The heavy sapper upgrade would need one free weapon slot and the M3 Supply Halftrack would be able to give only 1 Vickers per squad, identical to the M1919 weapon rack for USF. Cost would be increased to 70. In: COH2 Balance
