Thread: Artillery Flares-Early Warning5 Mar 2020, 17:22 PM Maybe give Spec Ops Panzerfusiliers instead? They have the flare ability on them, and though the squad itself needs some balancing work I think it's one that could definitely be in more doctrines. (Possibly a special variant without Panzershreks to avoid Radio Silence + Shrek spam. TBH I dislike both Panzerfusilier upgrades and would rather the unit be balanced differently outside of upgrades.) In: COH2 Balance

Precisely. Reducing the area of effect would help make this ability more like it should be imo. Depending on the new size, it may need a cost reduction though. In: COH2 Balance

Isn't the whole purpose of cover to cover to rapidly move a squad in combat to - well - one piece of cover from the next? I would rather just decrease the area of effect, maybe, if I were to touch it at all. I still think RE rifle grenades are poorly implemented. Calliope is fine and if one faces 3 triple bazooka rangers it sounds like there's other issues going on. In: COH2 Balance

All a squad needs to do is hit retreat, and it'll be outside of 10 range and the 25 munis u just spent on the ability maybe let u kill a extra man had u just normally attacked. Meanwhile, your stormtroopers are slow and have increased RA and one good nade could just be the end of them since its harder to dodge when tac assaulting. The Thompson's also cost 90 Muni, ST mp40s are free One thing that should be brought up is the Stormtrooper tactical advance costs 5 munitions more (25) than the Paratrooper one (probably a hold-over from the STG-44 days). Vetting up faster is beneficial no matter what game mode. Vision is shared. Crew repairs would be huge in team games, the maps are much larger I think IR StGs should be exclusive to spec-ops, Grand Offensive already has enough anti-infantry Grand Offensive needs a tune-down in general. Once the Germans upgraded to 75mm and 88mm guns however, the T-34's armor didn't stand a chance. So the game correctly portrays T-34 armor to be inadequate against the mid to late war German AT weapons that Ostheer and OKW use. The same can't be said for Panzer IVs having better armor than Shermans or T-34s lol In: COH2 Gameplay

Total opposite of what should have been done. I mean, people have been specifically saying it isn't worth the cost - Imperial Dane constantly says this - so you can't say this is just something the balance team made up. One way to solve that would be to buff T4, yes, but the other is indeed making it cheaper. I for one would rather see something like exp gain or otherwise indirect/non-combat buffs for certain Ostheer units upon reaching T4, as I laid out for grenadiers in another thread. In: COH2 Balance

Maybe 60-70 munitions and also replace the incendiary grenade with a M24. Locks out G43s and Panzershrek. Wouldn't hurt to have it eat up weapon slots in general. In: COH2 Balance
