I only performed one experiment in that experimental video. RNG sometimes work magically, ...(all probabilities are close to the normal distribution).
You counter argumented yourself, RNG is not Magical, ffs. All probabilites are not close to the normal distribution, but the mean. normal distribution determines how far values are able to reach.
Pleaase stop spreding missinformation.
As a representative example, in the fourth experiment (2 bar pathfinder and CQC situation), JLI's squad survived more than three people, showing very large performance differences. This has not had any effect on the victory or defeat even if I try again.
Neither i believe your "dude trust me" experiments, nor representative example, 1/4 - 3 man surviving is not only a lie, but a very offset data from the real performance values.
You can clearly see what is biased with just one experiment. ...
Not at all.
As long as you keep biasing your samples, all your conclusions are biased too and flawed. Sry bro, statistics is a hard topic and you failed at it miserably.
FYI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sampling_bias
Dont force an argument if you cant back it up properly. |
>People still complaining about Brit defensive structures like it's 2017
...
But the brits have to spennd 100 fuel on a dedicated AI tank with 0 at capability because having to side tech and then building a Bofors in the back line is, somehow, OP.
Funny part is, that neither Bofors are built in the back lines, rather frontlines, cutoffs and important resource points nor Side tech needed is a problem, you only sacrifice getting the AEC, but once you get one you dont need the other (they dont sinergyse) and finally forces a direct counter strategy on it (either mortar spam, AT ground attack or area denyal) for a cheap amount of Fuel.
I am not complainting but showing the other precious side of the coin you "accidently" missed.
You are welcome...
But this all was about sector assault, and bofors AA fix is very important, at least as an active ability...

States about some unit beign OP. Knows how RNG works.
*Makes a film with a single encouter on every setup. Source: Dude, trust me.
Its so likely that he repeated over and over again that same setup until RNG turns out in his favour. Thats malicious information manipulation, just to state that JLI are way OP than they really are.
There is no genius needed to identify your fraud. Please stay away from sensible arguments from now on.
The only prupose you seek is to deterr the game in your favour and your own bias. You are not respecting the game for everyone, you just want it to suit yourself.
AFAIK JLI are being nerfed in a new fashion, in order to remain somewhat useful and not a meme like many other mistakes in the past. Wether you like it or not JLI are not being hammernerfed. |
And soviets were designed to spam conscripts, get 1 tier for early game and 1 tier for late game.
It doesn't matter how factions were designed in 2013.
OST != Soviets
In other words dont change the subject unless its productive. |
Why exactly hmg42 SHOULD be better option regardless of anything again?
And more expensive HMG42 will still be superior option.
Since OST was designed to benefit from a better HMG starting point. Its like chess, some players use more some pieces than others. The typical horse/bishop player stereotype.
OST has intrinsec valor into its hmg. But you already know that why do i have to explain it to you? I really mean it, why?

I want to bring a space for anyone with good ideas, fresh ones to be either shared or discussed in a civil manner. Creativity is important to avoid the game to go stale.
Its important to say that very complex new mechanics would probably not be implemented as the game already has 5 years and COH3 is being developed. Only a group of developers keep the game updated and its time/money its not limitless.
Being said that i invite you to share you thoughs and ideas!
Please keep objective and explain as much as needed every detail, balancewise numbers can be tweaked but the core idea is the most important.
If the idea is rooted to help the game balanced, it would be even better and it could be implemented on the coming patches!
Edit 25/2. Added new ideas:
(Im filtering some ideas because they repeat or they might be unviable in the current state of the game)
Edit 27/2. Added two more ideas. Tnx for your participation! Keep it up!
Make Bofors able to actually shoot down the planes. Doctrinal ability to bring in your infantry via individual soldiers, rather than whole squads... Vipper had an awesome idea that should have been tried long ago: Doctrinal ability to produce some of opponents units ...Full (but grounded and authentic) customization of the cosmetics: Soldier skins, Voice lines/accents, and so on An in-game encyclopedia of all the units and their stats, tied to the files/code (to prevent ninja changes) ...the idea of bringing the Ardennes Assault maps into the automatch rotation... On my side I think we should dedicate all our efforts towards map improvements/making. We have very few maps to play on compared to other RTS games. ...
- In order to get all heavy tanks be more dangerous and less than a HP big brick Change IS-2, Tiger I and Pershing damage from 160 to 200... ...
UNIT OBSTACLE DEMOLITION
It Would be nice if units could break small fences, hedges etc. This way maps could be made more naturally with lots of fences and players could strategize where to make paths thru the map. The breakdown time should equal how strong the obstacle is. Like fences can get kicked down by anyone. Walls take extra time. Hedges take a long time to clear. Could have doctrinal demos (like the brit demo) for each army to call up on heavy dense maps.
Could be applied to doors and windows on buildings also. It takes a few seconds to break down a door or smash a window, but once broken you can pop in and out as normal.

Okay for who? I don't think the HMG42 is being seriously considered for adjustments by anyone in a position of authority.
The whole thread wants to nerf HMG42, did you really missed that part? Its like denying the elephant inside the room.
As long as HMG42 is designed to outperform other similar HMG (by the game and not because i say so) if you bring suppression par on all hmg to a similar level (I LITERALLY MEAN IT, ALL HMG WILL SUPPRESS THE SAME REGARDLESS ROF) the only way to keep HMG42 as a better option, is to bring something new.
I suggested a dps increase, but anything can count. I will give a few more ideas:
New ability: Burst fire. HMG42 fires in burst for xx seconds, dealing more damage but suppressing less.
New upgrade: Mg Scopes. Increase LoS (to almost self spotting range)
New Ability: Fire at will. HmG42 fires without aiming at the whole firing range, suppressing all squads present in the cone.
New ability: (passive) defensive training. The HMG42 is trained to deal with incoming fire more effectively when in garrison or heavy cover.
New ability: Scout ahead. Send a crewman in prone position to the pointed location (range: 15) to scout for the MG. Last 30 seconds or until clicked again (Need at least 2 man and the scout is vulnerable during ability)
Either that or/and new stats (DPS/LoS/RA. etc)

Thanks for the information Lago, but i already knew that.
I said that pathfinders must be tweaked as well since the whole thread and almost any thread about JLI compares both of them and that is firstly used as an excuse to bring down JLI and buff pathF, but secondly to say how much JLI were OP.
The second point stands, as JLI are being toned down in order to become what they really were meant to.
But i do not like people with selective memory and i always said JLI are not the same as PathF, but since everyone who talked back at me said they were, i pay now with their money. Tone down JLI, and then tone down PathF, tweak one, tweak the other one too. This is a balance discussion not a bias war. Isnt it?
Why tone down/tweak pathF? its offtopic but simply because that way both units remain at the same role and function, unless you want a powercreep...

Is the crit rifle able to shoot on the move?
Maybe tweaking JLI that they only can snipe a model when out of cover would be better than a anytime sniper crit.
Any change made to JLI should be reflected somehow to pathfinders tho |
Whats with people in this thread arguing that you can simply leave circle to avoid any damage, when p47 and il2 were nerfed to shit despite being the same type of ability (just weaker)? Double standards? Maybe buff allied loiters back to their original form and we can call it a deal.
I dont think you can demand that as easly tho, Im not even going to say that no one here can, but to show if something is OK or not. |
