OKM design got gradually boring and simpler, even those aspects of raw strenght got nerfed somehow and original content got cloned into other factions, removing its original aspects.
Maybe OP as it originally was designed, but people still complaint nowdays about OKM being OP.
In conclusion: people always complaint. Sometimes they are right, not always it the best solution to listen their complaints. |
@thedarkarmadillo:
I dont get why you only deal in absolutes... kubel is not as good performing as you say, nor its a "starting light tank", its not utter trash neither. It is somewhat in the middle tending to UP.
To take a moment to admit that it is too much to ask? Your test are good information, for your point of view only, since no one discuss that kubelwagon has a gun and is able to do damage in some really specific situations (no cover, far range), as you mention it, its a power multiplier and theres the flawed design, since sacrificing early manpower with sturms and kubels to loose midgame is awfully bad opening or push with the already OP volkswarms, using kubel for capping is the viable option.
Since kubels are displaced by anything but cons, its usefullnes is very situational, so much very situational that kubels are most of the time useless. Penals, IS and riflemen destroys kubels, any other troop is slowly going to force it off and its mobility is not adequate for such style of play.
Buffing kubel mobility makes it usefull for capping.
Buffing kubel MG into a real gun makes it able to multiply force reliably.
Buffing kubel MG suppression makes it able to deny early movement
Buffing kubel Xp reqs, makes it more useful for scouting
Currently neither of the previously four mentioned aspect of kubels stand out in the current metagame and even less after 5 min mark ingame. |
+1
Vet 3 +10 vision for rewarding good play.
A self spotting M36 is far OP than it already is and it would get Vet3 even faster. There is no "good play" involved at all. |
The only time i got kubels to work was on a 1v1. I built 4 of them, FOUR.
840 MP against single squads. Microing each one to retire kubels from dying and Spios did only repair them, since they all were taking so much damage.
I wiped 3 squads (yeah poor dude he was not that good at all) and he ragequit.
I repeat the ONLY way a kubel can work as a "combat" unit. |
So you basically designed a scenario that was specifically designed to be as unrealistic as possible. Tell me, do you generally leave a unit out of cover when its being shot at?
Let me add on this. He didnt mention how much time it took each engagement, meaning a player must be braindead to allow a kuble to "do damage"
|
How so? The Kuble can cap and fight out of the box. The wc51 needs something more in order to cap and fight.
After you invest more, you have a better unit.
You pay more and you get more.
No hurdles or balancing bars here.
There, fixed for ya.
Yeah sure, pay more have more, is this a capitalist fantasy? Or is this a game? Anyway if kubel costed 280, but its water gun is upgraded to a real machine gun then ill pay that anytime soon.
Edit: Funny thing, you say in other threads, cons CANT fight because of reasons but kubels conveniently CAN. They both are dirt cheap, but cons are trash and kubels is intended to be useless? |
You do realise that tanks that fire their guns in the fog of war reveal themselves for return fire? And how is it a fair scenario to assume the TD has other units spotting (to fire at its max range) and Panther does not?
It doesn't matter how fast Jacksons are, they can not kite a Hull Down Panther because it outranges them.
Breaktrough information: If you dont attack a hulled down Panter FRONTALLY, its turret cannot turn fast enough to return fire. It really works, everytime!
Now for serious, how OP can a jackson must be to either both, to win against a hulled down panther and people pretend it has to? Its time to use the brain istead of the balls...
I also mentioned something about aimed shots, causing the hulled down tank to have a windup time before shooting, instead of instant return fire. If you had read the first post, then you would know that. |
LMAO
Have science gone too far? Have german engineers loose their minds? |
Uhm, except that a Hull Down Panther can not be kited by anything because it outranges everything (except an ISU-152). It gets 62.5 range so it can return fire at any TD that shoots at it.
Yeah because panthers now self spot for themselves...
We are also forgeting that M36 are ferrari tanks able to kite panthers on the move unless they blitz |
Guys, the point is making hull down an utility ability, not an immobile hulk.
ITs true that CmPz4 and hull down can be combined, but that fact can be ignored if you consider the fact the hulled down tank is completely immobile and it will be kited all the time |
