For real, bolstered UKF shitstomps OST grens BUT a single OST sniper is able to fend off UKF un-bolstered IS?
Don't start cherry picking and also UKF dominates mid game with AEC until P4s are able to be fielded, if so.

In current meta volks ARE better, four squads all with StG, free nades and snare + spec ops nades for free wipes most games.

Then luch and puma which is a much better force than 4 vanilla Tommy, AEC and brencarrier.

Hence why people bolster, because if you don't fork out for early Tommy upgrades you will be seal clubbed by cheaper and better StG volks.

Basic Panther is just ok, the only reason Command Panther is strong is because it's a call-in.

No command panther is strong because it not only selfspots stock (55 range, 5 further than its main gun), but provides gamebreaking map hacks with vet.

Mark target and ability to skip tech is the icing on the cake. It should have been nerfed the same patch British tank commanders or T-70 Los got nerfs

4 min 18 sec is crazy fast, and it usually doesn't happen that way. 5-6 min is the more usual timing.

As a person who almost exclusively plays T2 rush as WM, Cons are not the issue. The issue is when they are matched up against Riflemen with weapon upgrades, IS with weapon upgrades (bolstered sections alone are difficult to beat), and any of the elite infantry the allies can field.

I would say that timing might be helpful, as it closes the gap between when you can field PGrens (which are supposed to match up against somewhat vetted stock infantry). However, I would say that the main issue is not timing.

If you watch the video you'll see vet 3 pgrens wiping plenty of vet shocks. Which some people on this forum argue are the most OP allied elites.

If they can tear through shocks why can't they deal with commandos or Tommies?

Double BAR vet rifles can fight 1vs1 but why shouldn't they be able to with the muni and upgrade investment? Even then I would argue pgrens are better due to having the commando nuke grenade.

Really why I am posting what I am because I fear you guys will unleash another Jaeger situation on us. And before you know it it's going to be pgren rush and nothing else but this time they will be non doc.

What ever changes PGs get they should have reinforcement (and maybe built time) reduced.

The ideas of an "elite but starving" OKW and "defensive" Brits are the most interesting aspects of COH design to me. Real efforts to bring aspects of history into a historical RTS game.

But as you say the way they were implemented was rushed and done poorly. I think in terms of unit design and tech choices these are where the issues lie. Like others have said British team weapons and infantry could have been more defensively focused than the entire emplacement cancer.

OKW could have been balanced with certain unit caps (eg only one Sturm or elite squad) but with cheap volksturm units effectively holding the line (tanks also mostly made up of assault guns with the odd elite panther or tiger). Good players would therefore have to be smart about using their powerful assets to firefight helping out weaker "bread and butter" ones. Rather than this trash spam of mainline stg volks into multiple tanks we have now or the old volk shrek blobs with double obers.

Or even some form of "elite veteren" choice that OKW could lock in for a team weapon of an elite vet inf squad. It would make much more sense than trying to balance every unit with five levels of veterency.
