*Ahem*
Su85, su76, jp4, elefant, Jagdtiger, furefly, stug, maybe even the m10 because of health (although it is quite mobile) all can be chased down and ended if unsupported by a single medium by exploitable weakeness. Should they be able to fend off tanks that get the drop on them as well? I'd love to see the whine thread from you if any axis tdhad a fighting chance of not only surviving but coming out ontop of a flank. They all also can be killed by infantry of course. The Jackson has the tools it needed to survive while actually being squishy-it can out run and out gun. It's better on the move than it's adversary as well.
Have you ever heard of a Panther? Especially one with that borderline cheat doctrine that gives it smoke?
then why did u want to nerf ostwind AI capabilities ? i mean it's a anti infantry tank why the hell do you feel entitled to be able to kill it with infantry too ?
Seems like just nerfing the M36's armor a bit would work for balancing it versus mediums. Not like these things were heavily armored in real life.
It's already balanced vs mediums. You can already kill it with schreks and AT guns why the hell do you feel entitled to be able to kill it with tanks too? It is a tank destroyer but you people are mad that it can destroy tanks lol!
I mean it doesn't have to have a buff but it would help make it less vulnerable to stuff like double schreks and AT guns, as it is those things easily defeat a Jackson.
as an average to below average player I think the pak howie is the ultimate noob litmus test. if the axis player is getting shredded by pak howie all game long, hes a noob. a good player knows how to deal with it quickly and effectively. you NEVER see high level players getting murdered by pak howies because theyre easy to counter.
i think its just the ultimate pub stomping unit. protip to all the axis sadfaces in this thread; literally drive your fucking p4 next to it and shoot it. congrats, its decrewed.
Pretty much this. The only time the Pack Howitzer is usually effective is with it's autofire which depends on the Axis player being an idiot and clustering his units never moving them. Even then there is a lot of luck and RNG involved. It's hilarious to see people complaining about this unit. Look at this whole section of the forum. Its all Axis cry babies wanting to nerf some USF or UKF unit.
I would have worded differently if Sherman at shells were reliable to pen anything heavier than the ostwind. If you look it faction wise, Jackson may be your only at source the player get until he backtrack T2 to get unreliable atgun on which you must spend munition on top of that to pen a okw pz4
If anything the Jackson needs a slight health buff otherwise it's fine the way it is. Like you said it's your only really good AT weapon most of the time as USF. The days where the Jackson had barely any health were pathetic. You could blitz the Jackson with an Ostwind and come out on top it was sad.
Except it would still have more barrage range and heat shells.
So I went through all the patches in the last 3 years, and these are all the changes (the first change being when they re-designed the unit). Nerfs are in bold.
Not exactly buffed through the rough, imo.
The cost, pop, and scatter reduction are MAJOR buffs to that thing and they outwight any of those nerfs. It's basically made Brit emplacements useless.
I like the major as-is. He really shouldn't ever be in direct combat at all (and thus shouldn't need an extra man), as all his abilities barring smoke are definitely useable from a safe distance from infantry engagements.
I agree. I don't see a reason to add a 4th man to the Major sqaud. Like I said it would have been smarter to have the Major as a Jeep/WC51 with a deploy ability for a forward retreat point similar to the Ambulance.
