Conscripts are one of the best most cost efficient mainlines in game They are so good as stock that they have one of the best most cost efficient doctrinal upgrade in Airborne commander and it's overlooked because 7 men cons are THAT good. Now they'll receive a 4th ppsh and will shit on 260 mp 25 reinforce cost mp40 volks and 280 mp assgrens even harder than they do now with 3 ppsh. Conscripts are the perfect example of overbuffing a unit and their vet 3 veterancy should absolutely be toned down ASAP. Jump back to quoted post2 May 2021, 09:00 AMKatitof Also, no metric we have on our hands suggests OKW is non competitive or struggling anywhere There's the 0 win rate in a 1vs1 tournament where they were barely picked so far while soviets have been the go to faction, and their low 1vs1 top 200 automatch stats, but you knew all of this and none of this has stopped you from claiming soviets have bad infantry so I don't see the point in further adding to this discussion In: COH2 Balance

The design is weird by itself, I never felt the need to reinforce faster with Ostheer squads, it's actually the faction which, imo, needs it the least, and aside from rushing an Ostwind I can't see a big benefit in build time decrease at 5 CP Also as an active ability it feels awkward. As a passive it would probably be op. I think it would work much better as a version of Osttruppen Reserves where you call in two Lmg Ostruppen to supplement your Grenadiers for 400 mp and 120 munitions This avoids the issue of putting Osttruppen in too powerful commanders like Lightning War and new Festung support since you can't use them from the start In: COH2 Balance

Received accuracy bonus was removed and given STG instead of g43. STGs are pretty similar near-long range, but definitely weaker close range. Not sure if it is not viable anymore, especially compared to mg42 upgrade, just because it still gives good survivability buff to the squad and slight dps boost and close mid range + free medkit. For the price of an upgrade and 150 mp you get an infinite healing source right at your base. They need their RA bonus back, or even better, a Damage reduction bonus In: COH2 Balance

But nowadays it would be justified imo to lock the stuka behind the schwerer panzer HQ. The power level (high accuracy and big onehit-kill radius on the rockets) of this unit on lane maps doesnt fit to its early timing at all and clearly is a leftover from low-income 2014 OKW design. Buffed smoke from leigs is more than enough now to put a stop to MG spam What if it was replaced with a mortar halftrack in Mechanized and put in Tier 4? It would still leave OKW Mech with a counter to Maxim spam In: COH2 Balance

Elevation and collision issues seem to be pretty much completely fixed. 19:05m Combined with all the small QoL buffs it got over the last patches, I can genuinely see it becoming too powerful now. It's only .15 sec difference(slower) in max range and it gets actually faster as it gets to minimum range up to +1 sec. The difference with cutting delay aim time and increasing travel shot is that you can't cancel the shot once it fired. If the collision issue never existed, the unit would be definetly weaker now. It should have more armor, maybe with a mobility nerf, and play as an actual frontline tank with suppression to infantry and capped model deaths on main gun rather than a cheesy shotgun that wipes. Or really slow artillery piece the unit will never be balanced as it is In: COH2 Balance
