Baffling scott changes indeed. Not sure about damage drop especially. Riflemen snare change is welcome indeed. 50 cal nerfs are reasonable, taking note what a beast it still is. M20 buff is really nice, although how much it helps remains to be seen as lack of zook still makes it vulnerable. |
You completely missed my point. What is "good" about maps is mostly subjective. You think Port of Hamburg is a horrible map, and I would agree, but the majority of the playerbase obviously does not because it was (maybe still is I don't know because we don't have any more recent stats) the most popular map.
Sometimes i wonder if that has to do with having many subjectively bad maps and having to choose between them. |
There are literally no issues with the dshk and the .50 cal (except maybe the dshk's EXTREMELY small firing arc). The .50 cal is retarded to play against because it packs up and sets up so damn fast. The smaller firing arc isn't that much either. Then again, I guess it kind of has to be OP since LT doesn't give an AT gun. Doesn't change the fact that it's an extremely frustrating unit though.
To me 50 cal crew feels relatively flimsy, even when compared to other support weapons. |
from 5 minute mark soviet guy had 4 maxims and 2 more coming with no supporting infantry, his ally only having conscripts. You also had small stockpile of mp so you could have bought second mortar to apply pressure on maxims. Flamethrower halftrack would have been ideal there.
Also it did not help that your ally was quite bad, losing halftrack for no reason and charging head first to places where maxims had been set up. your allies were also doing really bad on the other side of the map. Choice of command pnz 4 was rather peculiar. Normal p4 or even ostwind would have served you better.Skipping to brumbar would have also been good choice. Panzerwerfer was still good choice to go for.
Overall at the time you got werfer the match was already sealed. you still got things to improve, but i will say that you teammates were certainly not help to your issues. |
No idea why you're firing at that thing with Scotts, it'll just blow your head off. Major arty should have flattened the gun iirc.
Assuming this is Hill 400:
Sounds like your team dropped the ball. No LEFH should have lasted long with SPGs in range constantly. That or they had one madman spamming LEFHs like no tomorrow or something like that. The reinforcement bunker indicates a high skilled enemy team which was prob why you found yourself in that situation.
And that's without the usual counter used of Recon + IL-2 bombing run
EDIT: In 4v4s I routinely shrug off the loss of 1 or even 2 LEFHs to enemy call-ins/SPGs so don't be surprised if they stick at it too.
shorter answer is that the allied team might have picked commanders with no direct strikes or arty to counter them. |
G43 grens basically mimic the current situation with PPSH Conscript.
IF and only IF it requires a buff, it should not be with direct offensive improvement.
I can't remember which commanders have G43, cause i could recommend faster capping (reinforcing the aggressive nature of the weapon) or maybe -2 reinforce cost (which would end up been -4 total when T4 is set up).
My issue with a 3rd G43 is critical mass and the weapon profile which incentives blobbing and running around "sniping" people on retreat.
Jaeger infantry, lightning war and elite troops have all g43s. |
Can the Conscript PPSH assault package be looked at? It kinda lackluster as an upgrade and kinda expensive as a side grade. I would prepose 1 of 2 things:
1. change the muni cost to 45 for the 3 PPSH.
2. Give 6 PPSH instead of 3 for 60 muni.
i mean at that point i'd much rather build shocks |
I don't think pershing needs honestly that much of buffing. Its still same, more beefier usf choice if you want to be more direct. I do think it should get crew repair so you dont need to dedicate RE's just to field it or maybe small buff to its anti infantry, not that it oneshots gren squads like it did in the past. |
I don't think Rifle should have m1919s. The M1919s require you to be stationary. The commander is built around highly mobility thematically. I think balance wise it would make it better.
Rather the way I see it these are the changes that could be made:
1. Replace RE flamethrower with a 4 man rifle squad call in that can upgrade flamethrower and has a satchel charge (or maybe grenade if that is too strong)
2. Reduce sprint MU cost from 15 to 10. (I really don't think that sprint should cost as much as smoke rifle grenades, smoke is clearly superior... Also if you think about Cover to Cover it is 60MU for a smoke drop and a army sprint, clearly rifle man sprint is over costed)
I really like the idea of 4 man dedicated anti garrison squad idea. |
You get me wrong, NKVD has the Commissar with propaganda artillery at vet 1, Conscript Support would have the Commissar with smoke barrage at vet 1. Makes more sense for the doctrine's name and theme.
Incendiary barrage is an ability of the doctrine itself.
