'Cos Blitzkrieg. Historically accurate, kupo.
It's not a guaranteed escape, though it is very useful it's true.
maybe if you factor in spammability of allied mediums vs non-spammability of axis mediums and the fact that allied mediums can outperform the axis ones (except t-34, which tbf is cheap)
Also, King Tiger is kewl.
PS higher error tolerance.
Also, allied tanks already have good mobility, t34s, Shermans and Cromwell are all very mobile. Well, and about heavies, most of them are slow (and they should be), but then there are Comets. KT with Blitz is not really fast in my book. |
Same haha. If I want an easy game as Axis, I play OKW. If I want a challenge, I play Ostheer.
Yea, OKW has a higher error tolerance, same for most allied factions. Most of the times you lose as OSt when you make only one mistake. Mostly because you rely on your team weapons and if they get stolen you have double the damage since the enemy will use them against you. Without MG support you stand no chance against allied infantry. As Brit losing some men is no problem (in team games at least), you can always come back. Just need your mortar pit and your Cromwell and you are fine. |
You mean as OKW? Playing as Ostheer vs UKF and USF is still frustrating mostly. I play as Allies when I want a relaxed game.
I agree, all those people who only play USF and UKF, maybe OKW. Why dont they try Ost, oh yes, because it is a challenge and your infantry dies quickly. I also prefer having a relaxed Soviet game with unkillable Penals in early, where I can fight 1v2 engagements and still win... |
Seriously? I mean the KT isnt known for its incredible speed. However, giving a free "blitz" ability to already super agile British tanks is not even mentioned? |
Force brace.
Wait for brace to end.
Stuka divebomb.
Pretty reliable.
Yea, except it doesnt kill an emplacement, so you need to follow it up. As axis you need an elaborate plan to destroy 1(!) emplacement, while all the enemy needs to destroy you flak hq is 120mm and maybe some at guns... |
^Relic added stuka dive bomb for those situations.
Stuka dive bomb is pretty unreliable versus emplacements, you have to manage to time them right or they are absolutely worthless. |

I think the problem with the 34 is that it comes late, so you have to fight vetted infantry with a vet 0 mg. Often it feels like it doesnt want to pin at all and an enemy unit just runs up and throws something in its face. |

Vickers is far superior to the mg34. idk about the maxim tho haven't tried the new one
The Vickers is just stupid sometimes, it doesnt pin as well as the MG42 but you dont need to pin when you can kill everything. Today I had a fight between my MG42 in the big church of Düsseldorf versus a vickers in green cover, and the Vickers won without losing a model while my MG42 had to retreat with 1 man and extremely low health. |
You already nerf the mid game of usf and take away the only turning chance of USF of light vehicle. I think you must give some thing back to USF early game so it isn't always forced to lose at the beginning.
There is two way to fix this issue. First is fix the unit of variety problem of USF, so it will actually be COH that the first unit is a paper ,scissor ,stone game . However I know it would be never happen because there is too much work to do so. The simple fix would be either buff USF first unit or Nerf OKW first unit ,so USF can have a chance to get into the building of controversial point or force the OKW sturm leave the building before the ost mg garrisoned into it. So axis wont be auto win in the very beginning of the game everytime and USF can actually play defensively until more type of unit is able to build.
Yes, make them extremely powerful at the early game and then drop off hard from mid-game onwards. Personally, I think USF is such a boring faction, you either win the game early to mid or you (most often) lose in late game. |
Just try axis. Less rng is involved considering the average high penetration of axis tanks and average low armour of ally tanks.
Well, if they could hit the door of a barn ofc... |
