Thread: The Reason Why OKW and USF Tend to Spam/Blob Infantry18 Jun 2017, 04:55 AM I agree with your premise that blobbing comes from a lack of support weapons, but it also comes from an inability to play correctly. Have lots of Riffle or Volks is great if you use them correctly to apply pressure everywhere all the time, which IMHO is what the factions are best at and most fun when played. Occasionally I also see blobs of Tommys and now we see blobs of Penals, so modding each side is futile when it's the core mechanic that needs a change. I suspect the easiest fix to this is to simple apply some kind of blob debuff aura, say when more than 3 squads are in a very tight area they get the debuff. No need to make any serious game alerting changes or change every team around, this would be universal. Noobs/lazies can still blob then but they will learn fast that it's an ineffective way to play. I don't really feel it's too hard to counter given the time it comes out. I like the damage/hp/range it has. If this mountain of changes were to show up all of a sudden in the production game it would be insane. Please don't homogenize the game, it makes it less fun. I think we all appreciate the work and respect Relic's ability to farm out their official responsibilities to free work from the community, but damn... Edit: I am impressed from a logistical stand point, how you manage to so accurately and clearly keep track of so many changes and present them in a way that is easy to understand. In: COH2 Gameplay

So, not only is the USF FRP later, but a lot weaker too. How is that and advantage when comparing its FRP to OKW? I think you are looking at it all wrong. The USF retreat point isn't worse. I lost a full HP 5 star King Tiger to a single shell from one once. The Soviet doctrinal units and abilities need scaling back and in return their regular units should be improved a bit. Which should always be encouraged in RTS games, RNG should be diminished where possible in favour of skill based decisions. So if the FRP needs a balance that's fine, there has been plenty of good ideas floated here. In: COH2 Balance
