On record, i still standby SU76 is in a clearly better spot than Stug.
Here is how the counter loop happens in 4v4. Allies TDs counter every german tanks. And every german TD counter every allies TDs. So just like what you said, I would always prefer to build ATG + T70 and goes to T4 directly. However, in 3v3 and 4v4, things don't really go like what you said. People play OST would always skip T3 to T4 and then back tech to T3 if Allies started to spam TDs. Yet, for the soviets, it is not quite the case because there is no obvious reason for anyone to build SU76 in any given time. |
I almost never see SU-76 in 1v1/2v2 and they are a rare sight in team games. The Stug is used far more than the SU-76 espically in team games
And to be honest, as a 3v3 4v4 player. I have not seen any su76 for a long time( like seriously very long time). However, Stug spam is still a thing, and a couple of weeks ago, I just turned a game around just because of massively spamming stugs. |

That was not my idea. I am Chinese, and I shared your idea with my dad and some of the other medical personals I know. And they just found it pure on radiculous and not happy about your claim at all. Also, the Chinese government had already accepted multiple foreign assistants. For example, the US and Chinese experts are now working together for a vaccine, 3 million masks were sent to Wuhan by a Japanese company, etc. Just keep in mind all of these were reported by the Chinese government or CCP official media--CCTV, and they have shown a huge appreciation of global collaborations.
Also, the refusion of foreign assistance is not a rare thing and does not happen only in China. Japan's government also declined foreign support during the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

My dad, as a cardiologist, who had worked in the SARS front line 15 years ago and may be again going to the Wuhan frontline to help. He can access more information than most of the average citizens do. Basically, this virus is, indeed, much worse than you can imagine and currently untreatable at all. However, the mortality rate is also much lower compared to SARS.
Also, as for government factors, just go and compare the 2009 H1N1 case, you will see how each government did and their general performance on the emergency epidemic control in their countries. |
If the balance team considers this, they should also consider toning down its mobility a tiny bit to prevent su76 hordes roaming around the battlefield. With slightly lower mobility they will be more susceptible to AT guns showing up nearby and tank flanks.
I really want this to happen because then the Soviet T3 will finally have 3 must build units.
T70 the workhorse of the midgame and later the best scout unit.
M5 AA quad flank defense and mobile suppression as well as excellent AA.
SU76 infantry support, soft anti tank and later with vet could support vs heavier armour.
I do not think nerfing the su76 speed is a good idea, though. It does not have a turrent, no emergency smokescreen, or any kind of vehicle crit ability. Puma, on the other hand, has them all. Puma is indeed a bit more expensive, but survive too long compare to Su76.
However, a reverse Jagdtiger treatment can be considered. Normally su76 could have a 0.1 to 0.2 speed( not traverse speed) deduction, so it is not able to shift battlefield that quickly. When it receives any AT attack, a 0.1 to 0.2 bonus speed can be granted so it could leave the danger zone a bit quciker. |
You can even make it 40. Give them the same stats, trajectory, aoe and damage as the Stug E and give them a 7 sec switch time. This would help the su76 have an actual role.
I do like your idea very much. The switchable rounds will make SU76 more viable in most situations. Make it 45 range will be ideal. It is shorter than all ATGs range and a bit longer than most man-portable AT weapons'. Round changing time could be anywhere between 3 to 5 seconds. Long enough for 1.5 ATG shots will be excellent. |

I have been a long-time player of this game for more than 4 years and have spent more than 2000 hours on it. As an experienced 4v4 player, I have reached the top ten positions for more than once and can maintain a very high win rate. However, regardless of how good I play and how many good and skilled players I have encountered, there will always be someone , in team games, pretending he/she is the boss and able to judge the other players' skill and play style with very toxic languages. I have encountered this issue(yes, even as an experienced and good player), and so do my friends. This becomes a problem since I have some friends who just got introduced into the game, feard to play by themselves because it is not rear to meat someone like what I just described, especially in low-level rank games. I hope there is someone who could please tell me a way that I can tell my friend and also use by myself to let those players shut up yet without rage quiting. |

Go try it yourself and then you will know what I meant. Katy is good indeed at close range. But it is way too RNG based, and if you miss the first round of rockest,racketens will push forward and kill your karties.I have killed the opponents katy this way, and my katies were killed this way, and it is definitely not as easy as you think. Infantries spotting is a thing but can do nothing to keep the racketens away, especially when playing as UKF since you lack indirect blob killing tools. Racketens spamming is different now, compare to the old ages hide and seek, they are now directly following the infantries and able to use their extra 5 ranges to provide very powerful AT performances. As I said, I enjoy blobing racketen myself and not once, not twice, but more than 10 times, killing the entire enemy tanks forces without building any tank in team games as OKW. |
