The other player sat up an ambush, planned each step of it and waited until the right moment to execute it. Its like a land mine that requires active input and it's obnoxious because it's effective?
People Like low skills plays, it seems
If you mean setting up an ambush as falchis to just move in in yellow cover and then press hold fire then yeah, it's really hard to accomplish. |
They could make sweepers detect at a larger radius.
The m20, M3, and UC each have extended detect radius. Bit hard to use vs fausting falls though
Lol yeah UC get popped in 2 seconds ^ |
I think the issue with Falls is camouflage, which is an issue with all camouflaged units since there is no way for them to be detected unless a unit gets too close to them or you use flares. To that end, I think each faction should get designated units that can spot camouflaged units from double the distance of normal ones.
Soviets: T70 recon mode, M3A1
Ostheer: Scout Car
OKW: Kubel, Jagdpanzer
Brits: AEC, Pyrotechnics tommies
USF: M20, Major, Greyhound
Indeed, there need to be a counter to the camo camp lol, it feels so obnoxious |
One of the issues with lategame falls blobs in teamgames is that they basically always get +50% accuracy from their ambush bonus just by a-moving since there's so many craters everywhere and they melt things at any range (unlike commandos, stormtroopers, or partisans). It's a really brainless way to basically always have 150% (compared to their base) accuracy.
Exactly there need to be a way for all factions to spot camo units with a designated unit. |
Im sick of this falls spam cheese. Please don't say l2p. Cause they keep on annihilating my soviet infantry. And specialist infantry like shocks and guards with dp upgrades. They also have snares. So yeah. Also come at 2 cp. Cost 340. Yeah soviets are fucked.
If i may ask why do shocks and guards cost 360 then? Why not standardize the cost? 6 men? Soviets die quicker. Idk y. But they do.
I wish there was counter to them while they were in camo on your points and you know they are there, but nope there is no counter. They can hold fire as long as they want and then rip apart all your infantry. This is really deadly for brits as well lol since they are so awful out of cover and on the move. |
If falls keep being as they are now, why dont we just change obers?
Obers are fine in their own role. Falls are too strong all around units. |
mind showing some ?
Alright I will post replays where we see them in use when I get the chance |
id sooner they keep their faust and get their power reduced
without a snare they more or less become a different flavour of ober, just with unstacked DPS and camo
That's what I would prefer as well but if we have to make concessions to give them more buffs then they should at the very least remove their fausts because they are meant to be elite infantry good against any infantry. I just feel that their potential snare on top of all that make them way too hard to counter. Even if you try to stay at range with your mediums tanks , they have access to a sprint in their commander to reach you quite easily. |
As a UKF player yourself then, why on earth are your cromwells and Churchills in enemy ATG range when falls want to snare then? Where is the rest of your core army?
A squad FSJ is costly enough to not be thrown into a deathpit, but if the other player scouted and already flanked with FSJ then they do what they are ment to, flank and destroy. Its like a TD killing tanks or a mortar emptying garrisons. No big surprise. At least FSJ now do their job effectively, before the buff it was too risky to even try it.
Im fine with the current falchis's power level if they have their faust removed. Also the rest of my army is being bullied by 2-3 squads of Fallschirmjägers. |
i think its more because the game has moved away from tactical plays to brute force. why get a unit that ambushes when you can get a unit that can attack frontally? this is literally why old falls were not seeing use and new falls are.
And this is part of the problem exactly , the new Fallschirmjägers encourage blopping because they are able to decrew mgs in the front even if they are behind light cover. |
