Look, no one is saying that JLI should stay op but just WAiT FOR 1 week and see if the changes are working. The mod team did a great job with very limited testing resources. Balancing is difficult even with proper tools. JLI ending up the way they did is understandable. What is not understandable is, now given weeks of live testing, they're doubling down on this unit being something that's good to have in the game. It's not. We've seen how they devolve every match they appear in into a blobfest because that's the only way infantry can fight them. They make every match they appear in worse, and yet whoever presently designs the patch wants to keep them in their current design. It baffles me. A 0.9 accuracy vs cover long-range crit rifle does not belong in this game. On any unit. In: COH2 Balance

The Tank battle u may think of is sherman against Tiger. The regular is that Jacksons and SU 85 stomp the Axis Tanks while they cant fight back. The only Tank that trade ok is the Panther. And thats the reason why u see so much Panther`s in the current Meta. A Tiger'll beat a Jackson in a 1v1 brawl. Similar reload speed, Tiger needs to hit four times, Jackson needs to hit about eight. It won't beat two Jacksons, but if you think 640 MP 230 FU of generalist vehicle should beat 800 MP 280 FU of dedicated anti-tank vehicle then I question what you're doing on the balance forum. Thread: Balance and Bugfix Patch – Feb 7th 2109 - discuss7 Feb 2019, 20:41 PM Outside of the lackluster JLI nerfs, it's a pretty neat patch. A few nice buffs to Recon Support Company, they patched out the double Assault Engineer rush, and tweaked a few of the weaker units. The 221 in particular is a pretty nice change. I wonder how much of a difference the penetration buff will make against Clown Cars and UCs in practice? In: Lobby
Thread: Tiger PzKpfw VI7 Feb 2019, 20:11 PM The Tiger's a generalist: its penetration values are a hair below dedicated tank destroyers, and its Vet 0 main gun AoE is comparable to the HE rounds Sherman. Yes, the Panther outclasses it as a tank killer, but if you want an efficient tank killer, get a Panther! You get the Tiger instead of the Panther for the same reason you get the P4 instead of the StuG: you want a unit that can fight off enemy armour while still inflicting manpower bleed. If you keep the Tiger in your base and only roll it out for tank battles, it's not going to pay itself back. You need it on the front lines taking pot shots at infantry. Think of it like a slower, tougher Pershing. In: COH2 Balance
