So I did a clone on the economy_ai but I'm wondering what do the properties do like "per_unit_scale" and "utility" etc. I can't find any helpful description when clicking on them so I was wondering if you guys could help me understand what they do?
(also, modifying the army_bag couldn't work, so maybe the issue lies in the economy_ai?)
Per_Unit_Scale is how valuable a unit gets after each unit is produced. Its mainly to prevent spam. Example; A unit scale of 1 has no decrease in utility for every unit on the field, a scale of 0.5 means each consecutive unit is considered half as useful to have.
Utility is a general rating applied to each unit. This rating is usually gotten after everything is considered (weapon, cost, speed, etc.). Its best to keep this as is unless its a special unit, say, a unit that only attacks with an ability.

Well, it might be because of the item you have in that rack. Is it a slot item or something else? If its a slot item, the economy ai might consider the weapon is not good enough for the cost. |
Ayyyy good job mate! Glad we could help. |
It is possible to mix and match the nations, surely? In COH1, there were Canadian Gunners with British infantry; and in COH2, there were the 'infamous' Ostruppen mixed with Ostheer. From an immersive standpoint, we know the Wehrmacht backed up the Italians, so you could have German tanks with Italian infantry. In fact, the voice acting could be quite exquisite. e.g. German Panzer Commander: "Those bloody Italians are retreating again", "Stand and fight" or "I'm going home to Mutti if this carries on". The Italian voice acting could be infinite.
I guess I could see that, but once again, historical accuracy might get in the way. The Germans and Italians didn't really get along during the war, alot of disagreements between command. The most I could see is putting in some Italian prototypes, or really rare tanks as standard units, like the Ostwind in CoH2. |
Well, all I can say is to try to copy all your files to a new mod, and try to post that. If you get the same error its definitely something in your mod. |
I think it might be because you have some locked content in there. Some of it you can clone and build, but not publish. Have you tried modifying the store attribs at all? Maybe the racebps?
A tip for the future, BACKUP OFTEN, 1 time a week at least. I cant stress it enough, I know its annoying to do, but it will save your posterior in many cases. |
So I guess CoH3 is confirmed Mediterranean?
I personally think the Italians would be interesting if done right, but really, really bad/boring if not. They didn't have tanks really, so fancy infantry and team-weapon tactics is the best they are going to get without special commanders and what-not. Im interested to see how Relic plans to do them, because keeping historical accuracy would displease alot of armor junkies.
For this reason I think the axis campaign, if there is one, should probably alternate between the German and Italian command.
For the allies, I think the Brits should be first and foremost. They did the most fighting in Italy and Africa, they deserve the spotlight for the allies. Plus, they wouldn't be too hard to implement, having a good mix of every unit type and what-not.
Italy would be 90% hill and mountain fighting, with a bit of urban combat here and there. North Africa is the same but with sand instead of mountains, and South Africa, well, nothing happened in South Africa. For the entire Africa aspect, I personally think it'd be a bit boring. Keep that theatre in skirmish, just with some extra sandy skins for the units. Keep the Mediterranean as a expansion sort of thing.
All-in-all, I would rather keep the war in Europe, it's been done to death but there's a reason it has been. Its really the most interesting and provides alot of opportunities. I'd like to see the Eastern Front done better Justice, CoH2 always felt more like the western front with a eastern skin. |
In the "UI" section of the EBP, just type skin_winter into the skin summer entry. |
Ah, I thought it just packaged all the mod files into an sga without building any newer files. |
Im also curious, it might be really boring and do what I think it does but it also might be completely destructive. Its a wild card that nobody has flipped yet. Maybe you could make a new dummy mod and see what it does after all these years? |
