What if I told you.... you can lose med quickly to 2 ATGs... which are not hand holding each other?
Do you honestly have so horrible micro ability that every time more then 1 unit is involved you can't even begin to imagine that other unit doesn't have to be in the exact same spot, parked right next to the first one?
Have you ever heard of overlaping arcs?
Are you even capable of understanding that you can position 2 ATGs in such a way that they can both shoot at the same target, but also protect each other if opponent decides to rush one?
How basic your micro and positioning is?

What are you on about? A pair of ATGs is standard for 1v1 and 2v2, there is risk to it only if you're lower level player and have no awareness.
They aren't better against ATGs, ATGs are worse against them, because you have extremely little time to escape with pretty hefty investment against comparatively low investment.
ATGs hardcounter med armor too well and contribute to heavy meta that way.
TDs have nothing to do with it.
Im aware of the use of ATG's, im merely pointing out the massive risks when using them together, its easy to lose them in an instant. Yes, ATGS are worse against them, but people want to make it even more worse. Isnt ATG's SUPPOSED to hard counter med armour well??
People are stalling for heavies, cuz they are so powerful for a single unit. Especially when you behind in fuel, its vital to go for double paks. tbh u dont even play the game, why u keep running your mouth like ur some god at the game |
going double ATG is also very risky, you have micro and turtle around the map alot, very venerable to flanks, arty and infantry and cant cover large sections of the map. Using med tanks is alot easier and less micro intensive in the mid game then going double paks.
Mediums shouldn't be made better VS ATG's that would be stupid. Mediums should be made more effective vs heavy TD's |
what is difficult in balancing the isu152 is because ther is no other vehicle quite like it, closest id say is elephant because of the cost, timing, hp/armour etc.
elefant - excels in AT but no ai
isu152 - Decent AT but excels in AI
if isu152 maintains strong AI, then nerf its AT or remove AT shell and make it reliant entirely on AT support, similar to how ele relies on entirely on AI support |
Before it was 1-shotted, now it's 1-2? The ISU, Brumbar, IS2, Tiger, and KT all are pretty good at 2-hit wipes. They all get random 1-hit wipes when models stack up while moving around an obstacle. It doesn't mean that any of them need to be radically changed. The ISU is really expensive, and not very good at AT so it really should be good at AI. It's really good if you're ahead and can keep a lot of support around it but if you don't then it can die pretty quickly to a flank.
1 still includes in 1-2 you know. Its not about the 1 shot or 2 shotting squads, its about how consistently it does it. Go ingame, open cheat mod and test all those tanks u've listed and come back and tell me isu152 ai is on the same level then all those tanks youve listed. |
The models would have to be tightly clumped to have a 1 hit wipe. It's usually two hits at a minimum, and it's reload speed is terrible, as is it's rotation rate so it's not like you have no reaction time. Nerfing the HE range would pretty much remove it from the game.

Sure, it can potentially erase something in 1 hit, but why are people constantly ignoring the fact that 10 other hits will miss?
10 other will miss what? why do u talk when u dont even play the damn game, cuz if u did you would know it doesn't miss 10 hits in a row.
What if... now sit tight.... its MEANT to counter ATGs... because you know.... it outranges them?
Its a unit designed to wreck static defence from long range.
Outside of being limited to 1, these units have nothing in common, so using one as example of what should happen to other is void point.
The unit -IS- a sole exception.
Like many other unique units.
All the other units are either stock, much wider available, can't be killed by 1 tank or 1 AT infantry squad getting next/behind them or much more mobile, often a combination of all of the above.

Not at the same time it can't. Try combined arms. And make sure the ones that go splat stay away from the end that goes boom.
