Relic's tactical RTS games are balanced exclusively around 1vs1.
Team modes, especially 3vs3 and more, are just for fun, full of chaos and mayhem rather than strategy.
Actually 1vs1 and 2vs2 play the same,they are based more around tactics.3vs3 and 4vs4 play kinda the same,and they are based on strategy cause you need to know which unit will give a disadvantage to the opponent.Basically in 1vs1 and 2vs2,as long as you have an mg to defend the fuel,then it matters how you move units cause of the different flanking points and so on.On 3vs3 and 4vs4 you can't really flank with infantry cause of the small maps or too open maps. |
The last thing we need is 100% linear gameplay.
And there has to be SOME threat to dissuade players from just bruteforce micro'ing tanks in absurd ways and relying on flat stat comparisons to win an engagement.
Yeah,then i wouldn't have over 1000 hours.Linear gameplay is boring.But rng shouldn't be nice with one team/player and a total asshole letting one mortar wipe 3 of your squads in a 4vs4 game.I mean,that's more than a game changer... |
A solution will be to make mg34 unlocked when you have your first truck constructed.Now,speaking about in the present,if is an open field map,build at least 1 squad of volks more than your enemy.If is a close quarter map...at least 2 sturms will be good+volks(so in total you have at least your enemy number of squad).This way you make your opponent to invest in infantry...then go medic HQ,make flak halftruck,and turtle with 1-2 rakketen...then if he had snipers,maxims,in late game he will not have a lot on infantry and you will steamroll everything.But yeah,stuka works well if they spam MG's,if not go for flak ht(cause you need to defend)luch is good for offensive but i will not rush for it.Usually i lose cause i rush him.By the way,4 OKW it's very hard vs 3 different allied teams |

Firstly this is for sure not a ballance issue. Secondly, if you think that there are too many crits in coh2, try coh1
But is fun to play with random stuff happening.This way it doesn't feel that you have the same battles.I find really bad the RNG balance,like one team(player) has more than twice bad luck than the other team(player) and that's what i have unbalanced.If WFA and UKF get repair nerf,then it will be balanced to have "main gun destroyed" for all armies. |
Just improve panther base accuracy and buff a little his ROF..problem solved..Also if his damage is not 160(buff it to 160) |

Maxims are one of the worst units for scaling into the late game. I'd much rather face them than the penals/guards/T70 bs that some players do.
As ostheer is much simple.Just make mg,gren,mortar,gren,mortar(now he might have 3maxim and one mortar)just try to have one less mortar than he has maxims.Use grens to damage maxim after he is moving the maxims.BUt for the OKW is horrible because you need to wait too much for ieig18 |
You need the same amount of volks squad as him(rifleman+lieutenant).I don't really rush for luch.You have 2 options...you either build mg or flak then you go for flak truck.If he has USF mortar,make ieig18.USe strategy first,then tactics.And usually stay at long range even if you have sts on volks.Afteer you have vet 4 you can go medium range |
