Yes and no, while OKW panther does indeed cost the most, just like any other OKW medium and above vehicle, that extra fuel isn't tied to units performance, but its a faction design tax supposed to limit your armor numbers/force you to get it a bit later since schwerer got costs equal to other factions T3 and it doesn't take a genius to know that T4 level units in T3 cost tier aren't a good idea for balance, which last December have 100% proven.
if I'm not wrong only if you rush it it cost almost the same tier cost but going all 3 tier it's more expensive and doesn't give you the same bonus (tank tracking ,etc) especially the ost who get nothing

Give SP double shreks or cheaper shreks and you can guarantee that games for 90% of the player base will descend to shrekblobs.
Handheld guided-missile AT that has higher pen and damage than medium tanks, and pens almost every allied vehicle every shot. Can't we just have adequate AT guns for every faction? Infact pg blob is a thing right ? |
Its also most expensive medium tank in game, locks you out of fast repairs and another unit.

At the beginning of coh2, in beta, there was a time when pgrens had single shreck for 60 muni. It was really OP as it came really early that way, was enough to fend off light vehicles, didn't hurt AI too much and was ideal for blob composition. Really the same problems as volk blobs but cheaper and earlier.
To solve the problem it was decided to replace it with double shreck upgrade. That way it came way later and made the unit useless against infantry with upgrade - as it is right now. It also was impossible to use other ostheer muni goodies at the same time as shreck early game - flame ht, lmgs, mines and so on.
This is why they gave it higher cost when they introduced shreck on volks - they knew it is going to be OP but thought it will be too expensive to blob. Truth was, that this time the unit itself was way less expensive so people used muni only on shreck but still managed to blob them really hard. This is why it was fixed by moving to more expensive unit. But giving it price reduction would mean we are going the same, bad way for the third time. and k give them 2 sherck for 120 mun or remove sherck and give 3 ptrs to volks for 90 mun (or 1 buffed ptrs) |
lol if katitof says the game is balanced, you know ther is something defo wrong on the axis side.
On topic: givivng OKW the panzerbuche will likely lead to volks being blobbed again since other AT options suck early to mid game. We already have guard spam and rifle spam which needs to be addressed but that is another topic for another time.
Right now what needs to happen is the reketen needs to be sorted out, with its aim time and survivability. The PzFaust should be cheaper on volks since you need to tech up to use it

What if I told you it doesn't matter if one faction has 100 players and another 1000, only 100 games can be played at the same time(simplicity sake, so you actually can understand how statistics like this work).
Statistic shows that same group of players got almost the same win ratios, therefore allied dominance you spoke of exists exclusively in your head at the moment.
Balance is NOT measured by singular player performance, but the whole group of them.
Political surveys are not based on the opinion of one random dude, but tousands of people.
Same way balance is being measured, by win ratios of players from specific group for all factions-if its close to each other, the game is balanced, which is exactly what the charts are showing.
Certain units might be op or up, but factions overall haven't been any more balanced ever.

Not Necessary. 400+ MP for an AT rifle squad is way too expensive, for that to be worthwhile the squad would need AT rifles buffed to immersion-breaking levels. It could work if the AT rifles (across all factions) were made to be more of a snare/vehicle crit platform, but OKW don't lack that capability; they lack a reliable way of putting significant damage on armour in the early-mid game.
Giving it to Volks is also a bad idea:
- If you give it similar stats to other AT rifles, it won't be a threat to anything with tracks and it will gimp volks AI abilities by denying them STG44 upgrade.
- If you give it better stats to make it actually useful against tanks it will just be the same situation as when shrecks were an option.
Just fix the Rak. well giving it to volks would actually give a counter to LV and ptrs are good vs tank if you flank them (no more blob of doom) |
