The vet 1 speed bonus went from 100% to 25% before they changed it to locking in place...... That is inaccurate and irrelevant. RW had camo from vet 0 and could move faster than Zis/M-42. Other ATG have and it is not an issue and it has not cause any issues. Current implementation is player unfriendly and unit has inferior vet bonuses. Cause your target would be artillery Feel free to provide a replay with zis creeping in the back line even if it lost or even how long it going to get to do so. Even if RW manage to get behind enemy lines before a game is the chance of RW successfully retreating from the back lines is extremely low so it hardly an issue. As I have also pointed out there are also other solution. The currently implementation is simply bad for the reason I have explained. Feel free to suggested another solution. In: COH2 Balance

The retreat function is the exact reason you can't just treat it like a ZiS. No one's going to creep a ZiS behind enemy lines, because then you lose it How can you not see it? It allows you to be so much more aggressive with it, with or without cloaking No one going to creep a zis behind enemy lines because the game will be over when it get there which is irrelevant to retreat. In the end of the day simply remove camo and give and some better vet bonuses if it an issue. In: COH2 Balance

Considering it's an ATG that can retreat, so you don't risk a lot bringing it on the frontline. Not sure though so not gonna comment further. This is not a balance issue. This has to do with being player unfriendly. If one use attack order the unit will stop once cloaked but will continue to "remember" the attack order and move once it is revealed for any reason (AOE damage, reckon planes, firing). It make the unit difficult to use and since camo does not actually provide any bonuses until vet 3 unlike other ATG most people simply do not use it. There is no actual reason for the unit to have different behavior to similar units, it is simply an unnecessary complication. In: COH2 Balance

Either make the camo passive and automatic when stationary or allow the unit to move at lower speed like other atg with camo. In: COH2 Balance

The veteran squad leader comes with a lot of perks and not just survivability. 4 men grens already have good dps, just slapping a 5thm model on their with free med kits and a better gun and rec acc as well i believe is a big buff for just 60 muni it was i believe. You cant have it all in such a cheap pakkage. 5 men grenadier are 270/60 mu unit not a 240 unit. Received accuracy was removed in preview. In: COH2 Balance

And I see your implication: that the SU85 is the top end of sov TD, while OKW still has panther, JT and KT to go to if their JP is at risk of being circle strafed, not to mention an excellent medium P4. Good point btw, the panther is indeed excellent at circle-strafing the SU85 (and would also circle strafe the JP if it had to face it, ofc; e.g. if one got captured). Point has very little do with Panther vs Su-85 and more to do with mediums. Yes, SU-85 is closer to JP, a comparison with stug G would even closer in that case Stug is simple more cost efficient than JP vs mediums but that is rather irrelevant to the current debate. It has been argued that JP is not used because Panther is good vs mediums which simply is not the case. On the other hand if you want to compare the SU-85 and JP the Su-85 is cheaper, with significantly lower XP value, with better mobility, having the same pop while it superior vs heavily armored target with its superior penetration. JP simply has superior frontal armor which is not that important for 60 range unit. But If you generally want to debate TDs I would suggest you start a thread about them since this is general discussion feeback thread . In: COH2 Balance
