Volks are no good from close range, unit card states good long range inf. They should not be loosing long range battles against ex convicts. The ST44 upgrade actually increase their DPS mid to close significantly. "unit card" was not properly updated when ST44 become available. The reason he suggested to move closer is so that that "point blank" mechanism would kick in and penal would not benefit from cover bonuses. On the other hand Penals still remain a unit too strong for it's time-frame and with too powerful vet bonuses. In: COH2 Balance

Imo it would be allot easier to balance all flamethrower units if they did not have DOT. DOT could be an ability that they player had to use. The croc has received a number nerf in the last patch and I have not played enough with unit to form an informed opinion. In: COH2 Balance

If they upgrade to bazookas (not pick them up), they get ambush camo with an OP first strike bonus (+25% damage +25% penetration, ending up with more damage and penetration than schreks). I probably spent more time with Recon than anyone else when it was still a terrible commander, but it doesn't change the fact that the weapons they had (stock) were inferior. Yes, the thompson squad was able to invest another 120 ammo (2 bars) to make them probably the most devastating close range unit (if you used Tactical Movement) The lmg squad was not able to buy another lmg, only to pick up one bar (only one weapon slot). Its only a matter of opinion since you acknowledge that support paras could smg combos that normal paras couldn't do. So imo if you compared their "stock" weapons paras come with carbines while support paras with smg/lmg/bazooka... In: COH2 Gameplay

You only got 1 lmg instead of 2 or 3 thompsons instead of 4. . I will have to disagree. The weapons where the exactly the same and come for no MU. They had less of them but I consider that an advantage since they could pick up a bazooka or bar or buy the missing lmg. They where extremely expensive thou and come too late making the ability meh. You are not very clear on what company you are referring. Recon support company that no longer has smg paras does not have Pathfinders. They have I&R pathfinders.
