Russian faction is fine and is probably the 2nd strongest Allied faction after USF. You have cheap but effective infantry, excellent support weapons, cheap tanks so that you can maintain armour superiority, and finally good call-ins.
I've played as and against the Russian faction a lot of times, and I always take the match seriously since it's a very potent faction.
Russians need to be nerfed before they get buffed.
Cheap + effctive infantry? Which is that infantry? Conscripts are worst infantry in game - ridiculosly slow rate of fire, low accuracy and poor survivability + they equiped with 2 worst grenades in game, which you also should pay for to get. But yes, cheap. And normal infantrly, like Guards or Storms are not cheap at all, more than that also are doctrinal.
Excellent support weapons. Ok, Maxim sux, mortar is ok, ZiS (look at stats) is worse, than PaK-40 as AT gun. Really excellent support.
Cheap tanks, maintaing you armour superiortiy? Yea, "superiour" T-34-76 really dominate on battlefield, while Panthers runing away and cry, true. And even King and Jagd Tigers can't stop those monsters and their "superiority". SU-76 is only good soviet tank in stock, but it's also support gun, not main battle.
Good call-ins? Yea, they are good, that's true. But is it ok, that USSR should survive only by call-ins, while all other faction have normal units in stock and can play even without doctrines? I guess no. And yea - JT is still better "call-in" than ISU or IS-2.
So, russian faction is absolutely not "fine".

But... its still very easy posting. all what you need is putted to players that know what they are talking about. that you do from the very start. you just don't need to talk bullpudding like like from above post.
and about daspoulos i met here once. he was very annoying. too much pudding post. but, while he spammed posts we all holded it and.... after that he got banned. surrender gg
result - bullpudding post spam works, but results in ban. you just have to make new account and call it penilebatration, but is countered by banning again. So, it's not that effective as all pudding posters make newaccount and call it just make new account and call it MissCommissar
I really like, that instead of discussing about topic (Soviet faction + Maxim MG), you starting to discuss about my personality, my playecard (not you personally, but others), my stats... Let's make another thread somewhere "Is MissCommissar shitposter or not and deserved she ban or not" and we will talk about everything you want there. Here we talk about things, which OP suggested us.
And yea, Donnie - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWfxi0DrJjU. That's for you, my sweet :* |

Yeah, there were limited Storm Tigers, but they were built and saw action in WW2. Your suggestion for adding the T-34-100 is ridiculous since a prototype wasn't even built. It was an idea that was thrown out there, but never made it into production.
Well, ok, it's not main point of my suggestion. Main point was "T-34-76 going out and his place takes T-34-85". I think, it will be ok. And T-34-85 we may change with any rare soviet tank, there were a lot. Maybe KV-1 (buffed), maybe KV-85 (IS-1)... |

If we're going to start suggesting prototypes, then I nominate the Maus. Commissar can have his t-34-100 while Axis players can have the Maus
Well, since they already added Sturmtigers (only 18 were produced), I don't see any problem in adding soviet T-34-100, even if that was prototype.
Lol, "Shwerer Gustav" (Railway arty) wasn't hardly inflicted in real combats in real war on eastern and specially western front, but they added it too. So, rare and effective units are able for axis, but nothing same for allies, pls! |
Look at my playercard.
Look at the sov 1vs1 rank.
Consider my strat as sovjet relies heavily on maxims.
If after this you still think maxims are weak, you 1vs1 me and i'll show you how utterly wrong you are.
I don't care about "who has bigger ranks", really. Your high rank doesn't show, that USSR is good faction and Maxim is good MG - it only shows, that you can spend enough forces to beat more powerfull faction enemies by weaker faction.
Again, when I say that "USSR is bad", I don't mean, that Axis beats USSR in 100%, so bad it is, of course no. It only means, that playing as USSR requiers from you way more micro, attention and another inner resourses to get win, while for Axis it's not such important.
And Maxim-spam tactic playing, I think, requiers from you a lot of micro. Way more, than for your enemy, which can rightly put MG-42 somewhere and forget about it. It will automaticly cover by fire large area, providing with large arc of fire to MG-42. Or, dig bunker and forget about it too - same auto-stopping your infantry. Less micro, less headache, less skills.
Main problem is - it's not so hard to play as axis, than as USSR. And that means that game is not balanced. |
You're adorable.
How are your easy okw games going? lost some more?
Yea, quite hard to fight against Mattresses as OKW. They should make way lesser AoE explosion on those rockets, because they just giving no chanses to all targets in fireing area.
But... It's still very easy faction. All what you need is putted in T0 from the very start - AT, AT+infantry, close combat infantry+engieers and fast cap car. I just don't need to build anything from tiers, I save fuel and get fast KT, which means GG. And only Mattress can stop that.
And about MGs. I met here once "Maxim spammer" when I played as OKW. Because I didn't use vechiles (saving fuel for fast KT) he was very annyoing. Too much MGs against my only infantry. But, while he spammed his Maxims (spending enourmous number of MP) I holded it and... after that came KT. Surrender - GG.
Result - Maxim spam works, but making your tier growing as USSR slower. It just cost a lot and can be counterd by very 1 vechile or tank. So, it's not that effective, as all axis players want to tell. |
Thread: T 34s20 Mar 2016, 12:16 PM
Everything is way more simple...
First : T-34-85 instead of T-34-76 in T4.
Second : T-34-100 (will be copy of Sherman Firefly, but without rockets, of course) instead of T-34-85 in doctrines as call-ins.
Third : T-34-76 putted into trashcan and forgoten forever as too old tank for 1944/45 year combats. For god sake, they giving me tank of 1941 year production in late, against most modern tanks of Reich, like Panthers. What's wrong with you! |
Maxim pinning pre-set-up mg42 in green cover?
Seems balanced to me.
Buff maxim plx.
Pinning 1 target is better, ok. But what about mass of targets? About blobs? What MG stop blobs effectively - Maxim, with low AoE supression or MG-42 with AoE, which also works on infantry, that is not underfire at all but only stay near!!!
That's pretty strange to compare support guns by looking at results of their 1v1 fights. Maybe in fight Maxim vs MG-42 Maxim will beat nazi scum, but, is it important for SUPPORT GUN? Support gun should SUPPORT to main forces, not deal damage and be main force itself or something like that. And, as support gun, MG-42 is 10 times better, than Maxim. |
For me, as for artillerist, that point is very important and it's number 1 point, why I don't play as OKW too much:
It's very questionable, and not all will agree with me, but we should really admit, that Flamenhetzer is useless tank. Flamer-tanks are very usefull in this game, tanks like KV-8 or Churchill-Crocodile, but somehow not Hetzer. And because of it entire Feuersturm doctrine became pretty useless too. Not so much people use it today. Every useless doctrine in game (there are a lot of them) is a problem, but that one is really serious.
Another problem, which is also hits OKW today hard is that OKW have not so much artillery. OKW today only have LeIGs, instead of mortars and Wuhrframmen bomb launcher - pretty tough rocket platform, which wipes entire enemy squads, but costs a lot and not effective enough to fight against new enemy of Axis - emplacements. And of course, few veeery powerfull off-map artillery strikes, like Zeroing artillery.
And emplacements (for most part of axis players here) became really problematic, since that new "Doctrine Fortification doctrine". It's just very hard to take them down with additional fortifications, brace ability and self-repair skills. So, I think, that OKW should get 1 more artillery in army, for to be little more ready to counter those positions. And... here comes teh Hummel!
My suggestion is very old and simple - change in Feuersturm doctrine Flamenhetzer to SP Howitzer Hummel. With that, Relic, you will do 3 good things for OKW:
1 "Heal" one of dozen broken doctrines.
2. Give to OKW real Howitzer Artillery, which they really need (and personally I really need).
3. Will make game for UKF "Emplacementers" little harder and will force them to play more intensive. It will, also, little balance that new Fortification doctrine, by givin counter in another doctrine of OKW.
So, what do you think about giving to OKW real artillery?
|
Anyway, blobbing getting punished is a good thing in my book./quote]
Yea, but only allies blobing. Maybe we should give same "Dive bomb" for allies for to stop OKW blobs? Otherwise, one faction can be punished for blobs - another not. Fair?
