Should we ignore the much stronger Ostheer late game? Doesn't sound like an argument to me.
You means slightly stronger late game. the buffs to the rifle vet and jackson is really paying of.
And yes late game strength is something i also calculate. But the fact doesnt change that the p4 is a bit cost ineffective. |
Ostheer Pz4 hits the field at 190 investment in structures (T1+T2+T3) + 125 Pz4 fuel
Sherman hits the field at 200 in structure (T1+T3+ ambulance + Bar/zook) + 110 sherman fuel.
Now add T2 instead of T1 and USF is 210
Add grenades and we are at 225 fuel for T1 and 235 fuel for T2 start.
Now before someone says USF upgrades are optional. If your USF opponent can rush a sherman without ambulance + bar or + grenade or all of them, you probably deserve to lose anyway.
Lets ignore the much stronger usf early game and high mp cost for ost teching.
I vote for 110 fuel on this one. 120 for the okw version. |

Actually you don't, it can spot for itself.
The problem is, it is shadowed by SU-76 which is over performing. SU-76 need Penetration nerf. Although, SU-85 might need a slight penetration buff. But again, SU-76 is too cheap, arrives too soon, and has great penetration.
I mean that you need to scout ahead for flanking tanks. But yeah the su76 is over performing for cost. either reduce penetration or increase the fuel cost. |

The su-85 is curently in a bad spot, It is out classed by the su-76. I think the Unit needs some love, espacailly in scaling since it comes out pretty late. What do you guys think?

I think you're missing his point. It's not the fact that okw now have a good way of clearing buildings without having to go for a commander with infiltration grenades, its the fact that this grenade is causing way too much damage for its cost, even with someone babysitting a unit,it can easily take down 1-2 models and drain ~50% hp if thrown properly. Allies are so cover and position reliant because of HMG42s, lmg42s etc. When you take it all away by giving a disposable 235MP unit with 5 vet levels such a strong tool, it becomes a bit ridiculous to say the least.

The bonus is getting access to Panthers, hands down the best tank hunter unit in the game. It's got high speed, high armour, high health, and high penetration. If T4 was easily accessible, all Non-British Armour becomes invalid and so does all Non-Panther (or Tiger) Tanks for Ostheer.
This perhaps was true once but these days the panther just sucks as the su76 and jacksons and fireflies are all capable of dealing with its high armour. its no suprise you see a lot of jp4's and stugs these days. then their is the brumbar which is a piece of shit (and inferior to the ostwind) and the and the panzerwerfer which got some decent buffs.

Because OCF is a joke 1v1 tournament? How much shit is banned due to terrible balance decisions and crippling bugs? You can't use data with so many ridiculous variables up in the air.
Leigs constantly fire from relative safety and suppress/pin infantry way too easily. Every OKW player makes 2 of them, and they are a constant and major threat.
I've been playing OKW recently, and I just sit them next to a truck and let them AFK-fire laser guided bombs that lets me win nearly every engagement. Get vision with Volks -> let leigs suppress -> charge with sturms. It's obnoxious and easy.
Yeah most of the stuff that got banned are allied units and they are still winning even without the blatantly op units. and what you describe is something the usf player can also do and a lot better with pak howies. |
