The reason it's not played very often is because it's not in the medic HQ that's the current meta because of the LeIG. Eh no this unit is not used very often because its rather up and even when the leig was just plain rubbish it also wasn't used often. a 4 second setup time and a single shotblocker can be fatal to this unit. it really needs a set-up time of 2 seconds. Why should they get the best infantry as well? The issue with survivability is how easily squads can get RNG one shotted by AOE such as HE Shermans or T-34/85's. I think Tank anti infantry needs to be toned down and more consistent rather then missing three times followed by an instantly killing 3-4 models. While i can understand your position its much easier to simply increase grens to 5 man squads. or at least have an upgrade to do so. the only way to prevent 1 shots as you suggest is reduce every single tanks aoe to 1.5. and then they become crap so you need to decrease tne scatter and then you have tank snipers. They have less armour than shocks, are 4 CP and require a heavy 500/540MP investment to call in with the glider. Last time i checked shocks didnt come with stealth , demo's and instant satchel charges. i believe they start with 0.7 received accuracy as well which is similar to the 1,5 armour of shocks. Increased range, from 60% rec acc to 60% acc bonuses, passive healing, permasprint, suppression. Every single infantry squad have something unique and amazing above vet3. At vet3 they have similar bonuses as other vet3 infantry. Everything above that is a huge bonus. You can't expect to get that kind of advantages quickly. I see you are cherry picking the vets that are better. Because most vet 4-5 are not. the price of ridiculous strong vet however is reduced ammo and fuel income. If its was a faction that has such strong vet but no fuel/ammo reduction you might have a point. Basically you are saying however that the okw should just receive an ammo/fuel reduction for no reason because vet 4-5 are basically unattainable most of the time. As i said before reaching vet 5 for the okw should be parallel with vet 3 of the other factions. And even then it will still take a lot of work to get most okw units to vet 5 even if that happened. Actually they are fine since they got their reinforcement cost lowered. but scaling is not fine. reaching vet 5 with either of them needs an absurd amount of xp. In: COH2 Balance

And their vet bonuses are also much stronger generally to compensate for how long a game has to be for them to see higher levels of vet. That bolded part is debatable, i would say slightly stronger. but the key problem is that the okw has to sacrifice their ammo and fuel income for this supposed vet. Vet that's nearly unattainable for most okw units and at the moment you see vet 3 rifle and IS blobs left and right. In my opnion the horrendous performance of the okw in general is because of scaling issues. You cannot expect vet 1 obers to deal with vet 3 IS's ever. In: COH2 Balance

They don't have at snare, the PIAT can't hit moving target, and the AEC die horribly to ostwind and panzer4. Until the british get a centaur or cromwell out they are vulnerable to tanks. No they really dont. AEC dying to p4's is really a l2p issue. you still have the AT guns and brit tech is cheaper. In: COH2 Balance
