That kinda depends on the scale of the unit design in question and the level of realism/ balance.
Volksgrenadier divisions for example did use larger numbers of automatic weapons, but most people seem to interpret that as a blob of Volks with nothing but MP44s...and then ignoring the balance implications plus the fact that Sturmpioniers also have MP44s.
And by Volksgrenadier divisions I mean specific companies within the division, not every man. Yet people still seem to believe Volks= top notch machinegun blob a la that wikipedia image.
Units in general are pretty silly once we add in call-ins. Army basic Riflemen and Rangers under the umbrella of one company's commander?!
Oh no, the received accuracy bonus on HMG34 teams still exists. It's just mostly in the realm of being only theoretically obtainable with HMG34 teams' DPS being so poor.
Where is the logic in OKW having fantasy inc grenades?
Same logic that limits all factions' hand grenades to very specific infantry squads, American rifle grenades to M1 carbine-using troops only when sitting in a fancy hole in the ground, heavy machine guns to specific OKW formations...
Accuracy boosts are never bad (except on Major. Then it's trash.), passive sprint helps with backcapping (be it reacting to or performing it) and since it tends to be inevitable some infantry will get in range to shoot at heavy machine guns as battlefields fill up with units, and enough of them even if suppressed can take out the gunner, reduced received accuracy on HMG34 is quite useful...IF IT COULD GET IT ANYMORE!
