in the real world war 2, dense infantry(we can call it blob) counter was artilleries.
in coh2, infantry can easily walk away from artillery fire.
coh2 lost both balance and realism on heavy arty balance.
Real life doesn't have a veterancy mechanic to balance.
Or anything to balance, real life just doesn't give a shit in general. |

Do note the pak stun shot has gone through a ton of iterations. First it targeted the vehicle directly for a single shot, then we had it target the ground for a good while making it useless on any place with elevations, now its a timed ability where you have three seconds to get the shot in.
If you change Pak stun shot to not stun tanks completely then the ability should return to its first form where its just a single shot and will always hit because honestly, the current TWP, while powerful is also extremely iffy if the pak doesn't fire in the next three seconds which is an issue if it's tracking targets going in a horizontal fashion. Reliability for less effect.
Hm, sounds good to me.

Added M1 81mm Mortar to USF Starting Building (test)
Added the 81mm mortar to the USF roster. This mortar has shorter range, lessened one hit kill radius and less AOE damage compared to other mortars, but it fires the fastest of any mortar and has less scatter. Furthermore it has a faster set-up and teardown compared to other mortars allowing for quick repositioning. Stats are designed more for a 60mm mortar, but no model was available.
Idea was to give USF more means to counter garrisons without grenades and a mobile smoke platform as well as diversify their opening.

They'd have to cut out all the lines relating them being a penal battalion, and there's not a lot of lines for them where that isn't the case. |
It has finally happened. Someone compared Rocket Artillery of Axis and soviets to major arty.
They're comparable in that they create explosions that AFK units might get hit by. |
I know exactly what he means but he is trying to present what is actually a good thing as bad.
The PPsh upgrade increase the DPS up to range 10 about 4 times so its actually taking long DPS away but giving allot more close DPS in return. And why is that a plus and not a con? Because most Axis infantries are better at long fight then Con and Con have also ourah to close the distance. So instead of mediocre improvement in all ranges, that would offer them no clear advantage in any range, they get a clear advantage in close range where they can win against most axis infantries...
Because it actually is a con unlike the other weapon upgrades. A con that can be dealt with along aside other factors including a distinct pro, but a con nonetheless. BARs improve DPS at all range, LMG42s improve DPS aside from like range 3 (lul), Conscript PPShes however reduce their DPS for around a figure of 20 in the ranges they can shoot at infantry. Other factors can easily alleviate this con, but it exists nonetheless, distinct from other AI weapon upgrades.
Actually, they are very similar to vet 0 PG. DPS is almost identical, while SP are slightly more squishy and cheaper. The rest of your points are correct though, and I agree that 9 pop is too high for an engineer unit.
Nah, that was a while ago. For now, SPs' StG44s have noticeably inferior mid-range DPS to PGs'. |
Is currently one of the most cost efficient upgrade in the game...
What he means is that it isn't as much of an absolute upgrade than the other weapon upgrades, even out of other closer-range combat upgrades. Thompsons improve DPS on Paras outside of around range 25+, G43s and Infrared StGs basically improve DPS at all ranges aside from max range, but Con PPShes only improve DPS around range <15...so correspondingly, a lower cost is not unjustifiable when the option innately has more of a tradeoff to choosing it than other upgrades outside of the cost consideration. |
If the Lmg34 is under-priced the Obers without it are overpriced...
It's been like that months yet hasn't been rectified.
Obers are overpriced at 400 MP.
Their LMG34 upgrade is underpriced at 60 muni like an LMG42 but 50% better DPS (and the gunner doesn't have to lie on the ground to fire it and fires on the move at 75% accuracy...).
The answer is clearly to fix up these aspects. |
OKW is fine, they have crappy vehicles and no lategame infantry.
