I think it's pretty good with the AP rounds. The regular Sherman struggles with anything heavier than an OKW p4, I find The m4c is better against Panthers , brumbarr, etc.
It's definitely not the US best option, but they aren't bad. |

I think another way to keep the ability as is and fair, is to remove the vision provided by the flare and instead just give the minimap vision.
I like this idea. I think free LoS is just a bit too far so this would do the trick. |
Yea as a stand alone single ability slot it was fine, not so much as an Uber bundled ability slot
It was still a problem as a standalone IMO. It's free and there's no micro, and it can't really be countered. Sweeper has to enter the points LoS to disable it. The bundle is just the icing on the cake.
The traps arming themselves in every point without any user input is flat out stupid. I don't care if it took up 5 ability slots, the concept doesn't belong in the game in general. It's wildly brainless for a game that's allegedly about strategy |
Shocks have 6 models though so each one won't receive as much fire as any pgren model. The problem with armour is you either notice it or you don't. It could solve all the issues with pgrens one engagement and fail to do anything the next and they still don't have the models to be able to tank that loss and pay it forward.
I agree with that statement when applied to vehicles, but for infantry its a little different. Your doing penetration rolls a lot more often with bullets so the performance is more consistent. The 6 models is true of course but I think pgren target size makes up for that in this case.

They already have good AI. armour and to the last man relies too much on RNG and that's not what they need they need reliability. A damage reduction would give a straight reliable durability buff without loops and hoops and the possibility that they do nothing entirely. Armour adds another dice to them that can still say fuck you if it wants to. Damage reduction is guaranteed.
Armor seems to do okay for shocks, and they don't even have good RA with vet like pgrens. Damage Reduction is not great for the game IMO, it fucks with all of our instincts about what damage things should do. I'd rather Rangers not have that ninja RD modifier, and I even wish the Command P4 had a different bonus. |
Can this ability be made to require some level of brain activity? Every time I encounter this ability I find a new way that its stupid. The fact that its free makes the rest of it even more absurd.
The traps auto-arm themselves to a absurd degree. I was capping territory last night and my opponent picked the commander while I was doing it. The point was almost decapped when the flare shot into the sky. If you step out of a point for a second and then step back in, the flare auto-arms itself so quickly that it fires another one.
The best part is that in order to disable the flare you have to walk your sweeper into the center of the point, thus revealing the squad to your opponent anyway. Yet the trip triggers the moment a squad walks into the cap radius.
Can it be a free ability on sturmpios, or be a cost ability that you place yourself? There aren't really any abilities like this in the game, radio intercept being the closest one I can think of. Like why is it free AND it requires no micro? |

Nevertheless, ML20 can reach out your base sector, so your HQs won't be safe even if you deploy your trucks inside your base.
The German howy can do this too. I assume you want that nerfed as well? |
