Some things I noticed
The Is2 is CP 10 even though all other Heavy tanks of its class is 9 cp. (Even the Overpowered Pershing)
The Su-76 only gets 140 damage at Vet 3. While the Puma gets 160 damage at Vet 3.
T/34 Ram is really buggy and really RNG based. T34/85 Ram is a useless ability because you never want to sacrifice the 130 fuel tank.
Soviets have doctrinal support weapons that are weirdly over priced for their performance.
B4 is a crutch. RNG cannon wins games better than any actual arty (Ml-20)
In comparison, Soviets have far less useable doctrines than any other faction.
Popcap is related to the number of models crewing weapon I guess. Soviet support weapons are more durable thanks to that. |
1. They can become 5 men squad irrespective of a chosen doctrine.
2. They can be upgraded with convenient healing that heals everybody around on the move for free.
3. They can be upgraded with cool artillery abitity and better sight.
4. They are repurchased as 5 men squads without additional cost after bolster (it includes sappers).
5. They can be upgraded with up to two bren lmgs.
6. They can get up to two piats becoming an at squad.
7. They can build cover such as sandbags and trenches.
8. They can be upgraded with close range grenade and later with gammons.
9. They get special bonus in cover.
10. Through commanders they can get even more powerful upgrades that are unmatched by any infantry upgrades on the axis side.
11. They can be supported with t0 mg and durable light vehicle.
Are you sure the unit is underperforming?

Long range dps is the difference. Retreat from bayonet range and commandos arnt going to wipe you. Retreat from falls an you are getting equally fucked by every bullet.
In ambush scenarios you just hard retreat anyway. 4 men squishy squad vs close range more durable - seems fair. Also you can always give brens to commandos. They are more versatile. |
Why nobody touches commandos from UK? Their wiping potential is huge. Thry can equip at weapons and have lots of abilities including demos, retreat with smoke, powerful gammons, are larger squads and also get first strike bonuses. I don't see much difference here.

A few game...
Tommy can be good while camping cover but you cant do that all the time because there are always situations require you to move out and attack. For now event moving between covers is punishing to tommy, how can you make offence action with that.
Not so sure about this since ukf dont have mobile smoke to cover flanking, dont have cqb specialist with nuke nade for offending, dont have stock flamer for housse clearing.
Ok. My stats are always better with Uk although I don't even use meta. You are right that there is no variety but the way IS scale is great. After bolster they are really good but I always support them with mgs which you have in t0. You have to rely on commanders for cqc infantry I guess. The only difference I see is that you can't a-move them like before but the difference isn't that significant. If you do it combined arms they are ok to me. |
The buff comes to IS, because they are overnerfed.
There is nothing wrong with grens, therefore there is nothing to give them.
Pios already build sandbags specifically for grens and HMGs and that isn't going to change, regardless if you post it 10, 100 or 10000 times, so quit it already, its boring.
Just had a few games with UK and, well, they're not so bad. If you support them with an mg or uc they are really strong imo. They can build cover themselves and if you use it they are still very strong. If you play them ostheer style they are more than ok.
If IS gets buffed grens will be in a bad spot. Theybalready are against rifles and cons. |
Just remeber that ostwind is used by a faction with 4 men squads. To make it really even it should deal more damage than vehicles shooting at 5,6, or 7 men squads. IMO its damage is less punishing to smaller ostheer squads than say damage dealt by shermans and cheap t34/76 or even t70 to ostheer 4 men squads. |
What buff ? They have just been neft latest patch. Lose sandbags ? But to who, who can built sandbags for them in the whole early game?
The incoming buff for IS (next patch) should be connectd with giving sandbags to grens to compenste for improved tommies (from the next patch) and buffed rifles and cons (from the last patch) |
After the buff (imminent I feel) to IS maybe finally those sandbags for grens? to catch up with all tgose buffs?
Btw I'm totally against those strange imo cover extra buffs. It's cheese. You get a regular bonus for being in cover anyway and it is enough. Because of doubling things the game gets overly complicated. Just make sections sth in between the present buffed with cover stats and out of cover stats and they will be fine. The cover gives regular buffs and it is fine. |
I wonder if it's possible to perhaps instead of a dps buff (or maybe just a smaller one) it's possible to inflict a debuff on the targeted squad that reduces their own output making ambush units more durable in an ambush vs relying on raw firepower alone.
Well, if a lot of players like it imo the bonus could stay but should be significantly smaller (but across the board for all non paying ambush units). The rule of a thumb imo should be, though, that if the ambush ability (or any ability for that matter) is not reflected in the unit's price it should not be there as the cheese potential is too significant. |
