Thread: Panzerschreck and Ostwind spamm 10 Oct 2019, 17:44 PM Jump back to quoted post10 Oct 2019, 10:00 AMCoH 2 is broken Hi I was having problems with panzer grenadiers panzerschreck spamm Soviet vs Ostheer so in early game he did MG spamm so I left it and capped the rest of the map and had 42 fuel per minute and controlled 2 VPS and he had 150 points remaining and he just came into my base with 8 ostwinds and whole blob of pzgrenadiers with schrecks and started to annihilate me I barrageed his blob with katyusha he dodged it and my Is 2 was blocked by the Ostwinds so it got recked by the blob and yes so I lost please help me and tell me what I should have done or what I did wrong the match was on Nexus He just outplayed you. It seems he knew what he was doing well. Don't worry it was probably a smurf testing some new strat - a player in reality probably a few hundred places above your current level. Thread: M20 over nerf rofl10 Oct 2019, 09:48 AM Dear Santa, I'd like my 222 little panzer to get: 1. an armour upograde on 222 (I'll pay with my munitions pocket money myself - so it doesn't count); 2. smoke without a doctrine; 3. a possibility to lay a mine (but not too expensive, please - because after I buy armour upgrade I'll be a bit muni broke for mines and lmgs for my elves); 4. a better engine to drive faster (I promise to be careful). 5. I'd like it to cap territory. 6. I'd like it to have better sight - some non doctrine spotting scopes. 7. I'd like it to crit repair because friends from the playground have it on their little tanks and on bigger ones, too. 8. I'd like it to face only elite infantry with zooks because when those cheap squads get them they come too soon and there's too many of them. 9. I'd like it to have a crew with no extra cost because I'm poor. 10. And btw - if you take away the infatry awareness ability I'll cry. I've been a good boy so please can you make that happen (friends from school keep laughing at my little tank so please help) H&K XXX In: COH2 Balance

Old falls were fine, good if used properly but punishing if used poorly. Now you get good results using them like volks and even better if you ambush. You can't really use them wrong which is a bad design. The small sample size from testing didn't reveal it as such unfortunately but live game is proving problematic. I must trust You on that - however, I do get the feeling that when axis confronted uberpowerful commandos, it was l2p and adapt issue from many allied players perspective (and to those shocking then gammon bombs!). Now I regularly kill whole squads with commandos; be it demos, gammons or just close range amushes and nobody wants to admit they are v. powerful. When it is the axis it gets changed a tad too quickly and too much, instead of players' adapting. I'm ok with them being more expensive (recent nerf), maybe even more but I'd leave them where they are for some time (maybe see what happens in a tournament?). In: COH2 Balance

Crew with a free bazooka. 2. Crew with repairs to increse map presence to ridiculous amounts and make rear echelons cap and constantly support instead of repairing. 3. Crew with crit repairs basically rendering fausting it a potential muni sink. 4. Crew that can repair other vehicles to speed it up. 5. Crew that can cap points while, fore example, repairing or shooting their bazooka at 222. 6. You get a non doctrine smoke to get out of trouble and block sight saving other units from trouble or stopping mgs from being effective. 7. You get a teller mine but better because it completely stops hit vehicles - and those vehicles don;t have crews that repair or crit repair. 8. The range on the unit mg very high and often will be used against 4 men squads, which makes it vey potent. 9. Very high speed and acceleration. 10. Possibility to upgrade armour, which even before the upgrade is better than armour on 222. That is more or less why 222, which costs more or less the same should have similar abilities or at least one ability that is better instead of those abilities. Remeber that 22 is also much more vulnerable to small arms fire In: COH2 Balance

I'll take it as a compliment But You are the real star here tbh But by the way - I really think that after a tank takes some beating, crew should have reduced health to stop the cheese. They would be really vulnerable and leaving the tank under fire should not be a good idea. The expected tactics should be to run away from fire (inside the damaged tank fully protected) or secure the site with the dmged tank by other units repelling the axis. If USF tanks were more expensive manpower wise to, sort of, pay for their mobile crews that would be another story, but since price of USF vehicles is calculated only by looking at their combat stats the healthy crew when the tank has just a few hp left is as cheesy as garrisoned halftrac infantry were hopping out full health. I do understand, no worries I just feel that 280 manpower for such versatile squads with all the abilities and possible upgrade paths seems ok. Bren durability from t0 perspective of course. I don't really buy arguments saying that equiping at weapons is sacrificing - it is more about adapting to your opponent army composition. Ostheer has to 'sacrifice' more expensive squads, for example. Generally I don't agree that balance team hurt them too much. UK was much too overperforming. Just have to learn to support you troops. Now, for a change, USF is a bit overboard not UK In: COH2 Balance
