Lmao AVre op kek sturmtiger for life |
Interesting take.
I will respond without getting political, in the form of notes.
- Conventional warfare since WW2 -believe it or not- has not changed significantly. Other than Nuclear weapons (which in Russia's case, are horribly out of date but that's a whole other topic), the arsenal remains the same but with better technical advancements. For example, MG42 is still used today with modified NATO rounds and better optics depending on military. Mortar rounds and rocket artillery are majorly the same fundamentally, just with better and faster reloading of shells etc. I think you would understand.
- The war in Ukraine up to this point is fought on two levels: on the battalion-level, what the Russians are trying to do are use Superior Firepower which they certainly have with massed artillery against urban targets and strategic zones and also using unmanned rockets (imagine late war V2 rockets) in order to create breakthroughs that mechanized assault groups (I am sure you have seen the pictures) can take advantage of. At the grand strategy level, I believe they are trying to pull of an encirclement tactic on the whole Kiev area, in order to create a pocket inside the urban territory around the Dniepe river. This would be a done deal for the war, seeing that the Ukrainian people are fighting bravely but with very limited resources.
- In the Ukrainian side, sadly they are fighting mostly guerilla style due to their very poor military capacity and military unpreparedness (borderline criminal military unreadiness for me). Schoolgirls are making molotovs at school, they are giving civilians weapons and armor to fight without even calling the reserves first . If we make a parallel to WW2, it was not until 1945 till Volkssturm got mobilized.
- Urban warfare in general is very risky and tactically complex since it functions on three strategical dimensions due to the amount of huge buildings that act like mini fortresses. That's why encirclement is always the most decent and manpower-conserving tactics.
- Morale on the Ukrainian side is very high, since fighting for one's homeland is historically the main rallying force of the conscripts and volunteers.
- Propaganda plays a huge role on both sides. It remains to be seen what happened, and I cannot speak about it.
- Let's close on a literary scale: War is the province of chance. In no sphere of human activity is such a margin to be left for this intruder, because none is so much in constant contact with him on all sides. He increases the uncertainty of every circumstance, and deranges the course of events.
- The conqueror is always a lover of peace; he would prefer to take over any country unopposed.
- War is the realm of uncertainty; three quarters of the factors on which action is based are wrapped in a fog of greater or lesser uncertainty.
In war more than anywhere else, things do not turn out as we expect.

You know killing someone's base takes longer than quitting, right?
I am genuinely curious what motivates someone to that point. Just leave. Or stop playing with randoms
Simple.
Laughter relieves anxiety. Also, raging your sucky teammate is always a huge plus.
I am not talking about people that genuinely try, but braindead ape morons who lost 80% of their forces and the game is clearly lost. |
Whos making ad hominems now bub? Ur self-owns are piling up here lol
Alright mate let's call it a day I am not the arguing too much type of guy. It was a nice exchange.
Have a good one. |
Surrender, quit, or yes sometimes fight it out
Never once have i even considered trying to kill my tm8s base, no matter how bad they are
U should rly stop trying to make that seem normal. ITs pathetic, theres a reason u get banned for it
liar
also, it's extremely funny If I am being honest. I am not trying to make it seem normal. For me, it's the funniest thing about COH2, just like Micspamming is the funniest thing about Source games (TF2, GMOD, CSGO).
My funniest ever memory of COH2 in all these years is a 3v3 I was playing and one guy had Chinese name and my teammate without even starting the game started spamming Raketens in the Chinese guy's base, whilst shouting racial profanities in the general chat, and inviting me to do the same. I was ready to quit when I realized that it was kinda fun. And to top it off, the other guy after destroying his base started to draw """symbols""" using barbed wire. In all this time the poor chinese guy kept trying to play like normal, having pios repair his base etc. Funniest thing I have ever lived in gaming. I still laugh now writing about it for sure. |
Imagine calling someone else a crybaby when u just admitted to killing tm8s bases cuz u got mad. Memeworthy
LMAO I am proud of destroying my idiots' teammates bases.
What would you do if the game is clearly lost and your teammate is an absolute APE (remember also the many problems with matchmaker I have repeatedly talked about) and votes to not surrender.
What would you do, especially when the playtime you have is limited?
If you say "Fight it out" you are a liar. |
I didnt say it made ur arguments invalid. Just this one argument:
"It was never OP to decent players"
U have literally zero evidence of this. Meanwhile plenty of evidence shows that it was broken, such as the numerous nerfs it recieved....
Maybe it shows that unit was OP OR that the balance team were a bunch of crybabies who could not bother to build 2 ATGs or the 140fuel Tank Destroyers allies have and decided to tone it down. To be frank you refer to an update that was made 5 years ago I cannot remember shit about how it was.
That update changed a lot of units. Does not mean everyone of them was OP.
And before you play smart: just because I do not remember what happened 5 years ago does not mean I did not play the game from 2013 or so. |

-Stug is fantastic, if you want cheaper, get pak40, if you want high and mobility get panther, i use it with scopes, 8/10 times win duels against FF,jack and su-85 due to its high ROF. and it slaughters regular medium tanks
Are you referring to the vanilla Stug or the one from Mechanized Assault (or whatever the doc is)? |
If I had to tune a unit, it would maybe be 120mm.
Mmmmmaybe Stug to make it appear more in the games (after all, the real life Stug III was the second most produced vehicle in the war, lacking only to the SdKfz 251 general purpose halftrack). Right now, it's a hail mary unit to save the front if the enemy is pressing really hard with LVs and not really a suitable replacement to PzIV. Maybe up it's price and HP to make it a more Brummbar-like alternative to PzIV. Let it keep the ability, idk. |
