For team games one of you MUST pick a commander that can counter the LeFH. Unless the enemy has no artillery commanders selected. it sucks but the meta for team games at the moment has swung back towards artillery after a brief lull when counter-battery was removed.
Need at least one player with access to rocket arty: Katyusha, Mattress, Calliope etc. Otherwise the pzgrens and pzfussies will run rampant.
Generally I find muni caches are better than fuel caches unless you are behind in teching.
Some areas of certain maps aren't worth contesting at the beginning. If there is an OKW on the forest side of the lienne map then you will likely struggle vs the early game sturm pios there. Better to 3v2 the other parts of the map then swing back to the forest (or whatever area you avoided) a bit later when the enemy has likely just left a single mg to protect it.
Keep an eye out for enemy players with the 'Encirclement' commander on white/red ball maps. It's usually premades which equip it and if they pull it off well it can be a gg for you. If you see that player with camo'd/sprinting infantry or stormtroopers then there is a high chance they picked it. Mine up and build caches on the cut-offs they have to target. Also burn down any ambient buildings on your side of the map to prevent ST spawns.

Field Artillery like LefH is only a meta if the opponent is a known camper. Ofcourse a decent player must always have an Arti commander true, but he must also know when to use him.
Or, If I wanna push the envelope way too hard I build LefH and strike at the base healing building of my opponent. Very risky, but very rewarding also. |

Is it even possible to lose the flak so fast in a teamgame? You'd have to overextend AT guns, which means one flank from ally it's gg for you. Not to mention the length to actually destroy it. Unless you have such a mass of indirects that nothing can withstand it, but then you wouldn't really have any map control. Of course, there are "let me put the flak HT in the middle of the map" players. But that is either "you snowball so hard you can put it" or it's your first time playing. Haven't seen a destroyed flak before the first armour comes out. Maybe during construction if penals found it.
Not really true. This implies that OKW has a weak overall roster. If you have 2 teams of top 10 players playing each other, where mistakes are seldom, KT will be on the field if the game prolongs. To never be in a situation facing the KT, means that you have to capitalize on the weakness of OKW early on. OKW in teamgames has few weaknesses against all but soviets. And even against them, some maps deny the soviets. Not to mention that you could have a brit in a team, which in 95% of cases means that you have to really bring your A game. The few weaknesses OKW has can be rectified by a commander choice (and overall most OKW commanders are great, and they have a full stock roster)
Half-true half-not is the essence of what you write.
In order for one to get a KT in a timely and effective manner, three miracles have to happen:
- You must not lose too much of your army in order to be able to tech appropriately. That may sound trivial due to OKW supposedly having terminator units, but in all actuality that's not completely true.
- You must effectively skip the early Heal Truck -> Schwere meta and subsequent PanzerIVJ in order to give the third tech truck time and room to build.
- You have to build 720mp and 270fuel at the same time your opponent is at its deadliest: T34s/85, M4Cs, Cromwells. The Raketen helps ofcourse at this but overall it's ridiculously hard.
So in the big picture, Kongigstgiger is at the perfectest place as a legendary unit that can turn the tide. If there was not the Spearhead mechanic I would dare call it the perfect unit. Right now, it's the perfect OP unit. |

Yup. Because it's not like he can build Obers prior to it getting destroyed. Or you know... use Falls, Jaegers or Fusies (like 80% of OKW games) which is more than enough to keep your Volks from getting run over while you stall for KT.
So what? All of the units you listed are snareless and can do jack shit against armor. You should capitalize on that to push through to victory.

The second KT over-pushes or left without support it literally dies, considering Allies army consists of something more then inf. The bigger gamemode is the harder it becomes to kill it, since its harder for OKW to fuck up. But I guess, you know what you sign for in a first place by playing teamgames.
KT is annoying when its played like a mobile bunker, firing from behind, but all super heavy units are supper annoying to fight be it JT, ELE, KV2, ISU firing from the safe distance.
The only ""unfair"" part about KT is when it is equipped with Panzer Commander + HEAT shells. Then it not only becomes mobile bunker it becomes the best tank sniper, outshooting even jacksons etc.
Other than that, KT is in the perfectest place tech and money wise, and I do not really get the coping posts on all these pages. |
The doctrine itself is fine, its more the overall faction that falters. If baseline USF was more MP efficient and had access to consistent mp (that doesn't require 500 mp essentially to get) then most of the doctrines would be fine.
Theoretically, if you were targeting buffs for USF in general i would look at the faction itself and the core rooster since its overall kind of mediocre and currently relies on broken units to carry it (ez8 and greyhound)
