You see we had like 3 touneys f**cked up by bugs or balance "features", or super duper commanders. Since relic fired Brad and no-one macking any patches now, theyre is no way to F the tourney again, so relic had to do something about it
If USF player goes for 2RF+1Mortar it means you can easily punish him for that becasue your field presence will be greater.
USF needed mortar to be able to fight with HMG/buildings without mandatory nades - that was the point of mortar.
USF were forced to go for nades always vs HMG/Buildings so putting mortat behind nades does not have any sense becasue it was to be able to skip nades.
It's not good when a faction is forced to do something becasue there are no other tools.
USF will get mortar regardless of MG spam. With out without MG spam, any USF player will always get mortar, because its not only allow you to counter MGs but deny cover for OKW and Ost. Cover is critical when you fight rifles, HP is critical, mortar harrass both this things, macking rifles be able to win 99% fights early game.
Locking mortar behind nades is nortmal responce for USF and fact that they have to adapt to enemy strategy, just like OKW sometimes have to to T1 instead of T2 or Ost to T3 intead of T4.
USF main advantage is rifles and if USF want to support their rifles with mortar then they should pay for this.
With OKW, there is no way that maxim or vickers will get there first.
Or try to explain me how making vickers and sending through whole city or building T2, making maxim and sending through whole city can be faster than sending SP to the nearest building?
Dinno, how about you send your Inf section to the main building and rape Sturmpios when they try to get up close, and then simply wait for your vekers to get into the building?
Soviets yes, but again how long OKW will sit in the building under maxim fire? Not to mention that if situation is becoming bad you always have mortar to take OKW out of building. But there is no point for OKW to rush key buildings. Yes, they would win themselfs some time, but usually its not worth it, because you will be pushed back anyway. Untill T1\T2 OKW cant hold ground.
Except that's not true. OKW has the best early game. Spio>volks>kubel>volks can rush any point on the map you want, even your enemy cutoff. They even get sandbags to hod it. USF doesn't really hit it stride til after they get their first unit after teching.
The mortar was necessary for anti-garrison. Knowing your opponent was going to rush a building and not being able to do anything about it was terrible. Grenades are expensive and easily avoidable, they didn't get the job done. And while you might be able to play the avoidance game in 1v1, it's a lot less viable in the more corridor like teamgames. They can nerf the mortar, but it's existence is necessary for usf to be competitive on building heavy maps.
Except OKW don't even have nades early one to take garrisons, except anti-garrison units require special tier, except OKW don't even have smoke. So it's not fine for USF to invest into nades and get their bar/LMGs later and get Stuart sligly later, while its fine that OKW don't even have a single tool to fight against garrisons. Biased much?
Well Medics are kinda meh, but I think its not problem with their weapons, but overpower nature of Assault class. I.m. look at Verdun at this case. Only german and US have acces to powerfull automatic weapons against bolt-action rifles, but its balance thought rate-of-fire, accuracy and reload animation.
Its kinda stupid that 10 round carabin which is in general much less deadly then SMG requare more time to reload.
I say they should just nerf SMG ROF or accuracy, because you can damage pretty badly with SMG even at long-med distance and then finish player with few pistol shots.
Also I really enjoyed playing as scout with Gewer bolt-action rifle, feels really good. ALso it strange because it seems like if you have scope on your bolt action rifle its much harder to hit target with it.
So you are going to buy the base game with limited options and then be in need to buy every other cashgrab dlc plan that should have been in the original game but was decided to be dlc because of money hungry EA?
Game looks decent, but I fear a lot of people are sick and tired of this insane milking by the gaming industry.
Well EA DLC policy is frustrating sometimes, but from perspective of "I want new contern why should I pay for it".
On the other hand game like CoH2 had and has more or less P2W contentent, and only relently you get possabilily to but it via in-game cash.
At least EA not forcing you to buy DLC, all you miss - new maps pretty much. But DLC is always was problem for EA, because almost all DLC maps servers were empty.
Not to mention BF1 premium, not giving you such insane bonnuses and advante over other players, like BF4 premium. So I'm fine with that.
Just wondering. Just played it. And it feels really enjoable, feels like there is much less BS in general and gameplay is more or less fair for all Air\Armor\Inf play. Also I liked optimisation. Because my specs are much lower then recomended specs for Battlefront 2, I never played it, so I cant say if I could ran in on ulty thought, but BF1 works for me on 60-80 FPS on ulta, without blur (because its shit)
Only thing I dont like - it feels like support and medic classes are kinda meh, compare to scout and assault. Because scout can use range to kill his targets, while assault totaly dominates at close range via MP18. Medic and support feels kinda in between, without any feelable counter play in that case.
Except soviets did used all equipment through the whole war and sov army is based on whole conflict duration, while OKW is on extremely specific time and place.
Germans replaced completely some of theirs equipment as well when they made a better one, soviets used theirs until it was destroyed.
Umm ... no? Soviets did use all equipment, but in the game their base equipment representing soviets from 41-42 with shitty basic stuff and more modern call-ins, while both Ost and OKW represents late Werhmacht, with common weapons like StG, Panthers, Schrecks, Fausts and so on.

Even if every one start crying about this, relic wont give a single shit about it. I think its pretty clear, past this 3 years, that relic do what ever they want, and even if they listen to the community they do it only then they need it or want it.
And to all ppl saying "DURP Community is toxic, if I was developer I wondnt do anything for such community". You guys can shut the f up, because CoH2 community is by far the best, all hatered and shit existing only because Relic community managment.

All we need - proper mod tools, with ability to add new models\skins\sounds. And thats it. Relic can go away after this.
