Anyone building a B4 in team game is just a troll. B4 is too strong for being an artillery if it hits and Soviet gets ML152 already, so I propose to turn B4 more a pak like emplacement.
Idea:
Able to shoot through walls. It won't be able to autofire unless the ability below is turned on due to the scarcity of B4's ammo. No more direct hit and useless barrage.
Details of the ability:
cost: 90 munition
Allow the B4 to auto fire to only vehicle within the range. Maximum shell that can be shot within the time period is 3. Reload time between each shell is 12 second. Can kill some infantry if they are too close to the targeted tank.
Duration: 60 seconds
CD: 60 seconds
Range: same as pak43.
Maximum damage if directly hit a vehicle: 400.
Idea of vet:
turn faster, reduce CD and munition cost. |
You're not going to get far with this arguement.
You simply can't explain why OKW should have Lefh suddenly at the time they do not lack any artillery option in stock when balances change. It's more like the changer thinks "let's bring more funny toy for OKW to play!". So I am not going to argue. It is my wish hoping USF can be treated equally. |
Sure, when OKW gets a designated AI vehicle and vehicle crews, smoke shells, HE rounds on p4.... that kind of stuff.
T3 auto repair is better, strum has repair bonus, OKW get smoke shell in ISG and OKW P4 simply dont need extra micro to be useful against tanks and infantry. Sorry, your argument is invalid and just support another fact that OKW has even more better stuffs than USF. |
Before talking anything else, first you have to hit. I had an IS2 with 20+ infantry kill counts which was all done by its MG instead of its main gun.
Slow reload is fine if accuracy compensate, but if you miss both, its just a armored DSHK. |
USF is balanced, even with the worse mainline infantry IMO (Rifleman), USF have good tools to support it. Weapons to compensate how bad Rifleman are, like OP HMGs and good light vehicles. But I stll prefer to build doctrine infantry like Pathfinders/Assault Engineers/Cav Rifleman than rifleman itself.
You are clever to avoid something bad , but make no sense to draw the conclusion of USF is balanced. You can have all the tools you need as OKW without picking a commander but USF is simply a crippled faction if you don't pick a decent commander having other kind of infantries ,mobile rocket artillery or heavies. Yet, USF is still a bit crippled, because there has no commander have access to all these options which OKW comes with stock. |
Both are WFA. OKW has stock rocket artillery already, but they suddenly get lefh in doctrine also which I think is an utterly stupid idea and simply is another form of extra care for axis. But anyway, stupid thing has always been happening just like the recent pack howitzer change.
So, to bring USF inline with OKW, Its time to turn Priest/Calliope into a stock unit in T4, or even T3 which fits the timing when stuka arrive (You think it is stupid? so stuka has been that stupid for many years) and replace the doctrinal priest/Calliope with the 105mm howitzer in COH1 which can use the model of ML152 anyway. |
What part of QoL change, making decrewed tanks still owned by the player, is so hard to understand?
If USF player made a clear mistake and his tanks are about to get rekt its as cheesy as it can be to "micro" it with decrewing. As corsin stated, its always a dangerous situation and probably other tanks are involved.
Micro is not beaten by more micro, its beaten by good desition making...

The correct version should be:

Micro is beaten by more micro which is the case of dealing with panzer tactican, you need two click and pray for the RNG to deal with one click, but this is not the case of decrewing which is one click in exchange of one click. And sorry about that, there is nothing related to decision making in this case. It's a click only. Just like you don't have to revise your building order or unit positioning when all you need is a click to evade from a grenade. If you don't like to kill the decrewed tank with a click, you can simply capture it with an infantry. |

You seem to totally miss the point. Let me spell it out step by step for you.
- Panzer tac, costs ammo, its not stock, its commander based and with Jackson speed/range its easy to chase after them.
- Getting out of a tank fucks the enemy's targeting up since they will usually have their targeting set to "Vehicle only" during a tank fight.
- Yeah you can focus target manually, but your tank has probably shot something else and turret started turning, meaning if you have 2-3 Jacksons looking at you, you're gonna take 2-3 shots before your focus fire goes off and finishes the dead decrewed tank.
- Been testing it as USF in 2v2's recently, and in a tank charge, decrewing often saves the tank as the enemy cant hang around with 2-3 jacksons shooting at them.
Thats pretty much it.
Use micro to counter micro, so fair. Please stop over exaggerating it.Same complainment can be made on a grenade when you refuse to use a click to move your squad. |
