Thread: Are Guards Pointless After Button Nerf?11 Sep 2014, 05:15 AM From what I have read on these forums their dps is worse than cons until DP upgrade and then it is only slightly better than cons (they have mosins). I don't want to pay an elite infantry price for that. If you are going in for a grenade throw then they are not firing the dp on the move so their dps stays shit when getting close and anyone who knows what they are doing can grenade dodge so I don't see them as good anti-inf In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Are Guards Pointless After Button Nerf?11 Sep 2014, 05:02 AM Button used to be awesome and now it is terrible. It used to be a great way to punish overextended vehicles or to protect snipers. My go to strategy has always been con con M3 sniper sniper guards and then whatever into ISU and now this isn't working for me since button is still 40 muni and just a minor inconvenience. I'm to lazy to post the new button stats but go use it for yourself and see. It doesn't last long at all and now the vehicle can still fire albeit slowly. So now it seems like I can get somewhat similar AT performance out of cons and put down more mines so I'm about to write off Guards completely. From now on only maxim spam or snipers and a quick at gun. What do you think? In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: T-34/7610 Sep 2014, 15:46 PM The T-34/76 was fine the way it was. It would lose every time to a p4 unless the p4 fell into a trap/messed up big time. Maybe they changed it because they want it to be a purely anti infantry deal so players would have to build better tanks? Maybe they want Soviet players to only use call-in armor? In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Thoughts on the Kubelwagen31 Aug 2014, 17:48 PM I'll add that sometimes the Kuble doesn't reload the machine gun after pushing a squad away so the next time you set up an ambush the gun will fire one bullet and then have to reload. In a situation where Oorah and AT grenades are being used the extra second makes a huge difference and results in a destroyed Kubel even though you set up the ambush perfectly. I think Kubels are fine. If anything they need work done on them so they don't act stupidly. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Button12 Aug 2014, 14:36 PM Button seems fine to me since using it is the only way my first T-34 can take out a Panzer 4. You pretty much have to walk into a trap to get wrecked by button so I don't see a problem. If you get buttoned in your territory chances are your unit will survive. When defending snipers I can see how it would get frustrating but it is not like soviets have a lot of other options. OKW ruined con spam and I think machine guns are stupid so... snipers, guards, and penals are all I have left in this world. Plus doing this is muni heavy so if they are buttoning everywhere you don't have to worry about mines and so on. In: COH2 Balance

The RNG gods seem to curse my IDF weapon usage so I usually don't get them but for some of the small 2v2 maps you need something to counter turtling OKW fortifications doctrine. So I don't see the answer as oh use all of the other sweet things Amer has and you'll be fine. 40 fuel is too much for something that is just a minor annoyance. If the planets align and you get a direct hit you will kill a model other than that this thing is a waste of fuel. I don't need to go on. You all know this thing sucks. In: COH2 Balance

Soviets and am have excellent TD's. but why use it when you can go the nab route. Well that hasn't been my experience but if my Jackson's were functioning properly I would be a lot more open to encouraging combined arms instead of e8 spam. I can micro every other tank with the best of them but the Jackson just seems to be a clunky drain on my patience which greatly weakens my army. They work great until they decide to turn and try to drive away from a panther in a perpendicular line all on their own. A target armor function would work wonders. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Easy Eight29 Jul 2014, 17:47 PM Maybe a little too cost efficient but I think Americans need something like it since their AT with doctrinal tanks is very iffy. I would be fine with slightly increased cost and cp but not a lot. However, the overall American AT picture should be considered. Jacksons don't listen to commands half the time and if you tell them to hit a panther in the distance they will blatantly ignore you and shoot at pioneers instead. This unit is supposed to be mobile but due to bad pathing or commands being lost in lag it is a coin flip as to whether they function as you intended or not. They also start turning 90 degrees at inappropriate times. I think an SU 85 is more mobile since it has no choice but to shoot what you point it at and doesn't start spinning circles like a bored child when ordered to just sit there. I want E8s to stay as AT effective as they are since I feel Americans can't do solid consistent anti tank play with what they get in their ties now. Also considering the crap AT gun that freezes solid for no reason frequently. Increased cost or cp, sure. In: COH2 Balance
