Thread: tiger aces5 Nov 2014, 15:30 PM I made a thread about it before and I agree the Tiger Ace is stupid. It needs to cost fuel at least. I have won games I shouldn't have by calling it in. I am willing to bet that a lot of people here think it is okay in the game because new players yolo charge the tiger ace and get it killed instantly. However, with proper micro the thing is just a cheap beast that gets a failing axis player back in the game. In: COH2 Balance

For each Tiger the US is supposed to have 2 or 3 Shermans. On paper it works. In game, what would you rather have, 1 Tiger or 2 Shermans? Surely that must be why Elite Armour doctrine is so widespread in the meta - because 2 mediums are so, so much better than a heavy ? In practice not at all. Maybe with rng blessing and good ring around micro 2 Shermans would beat 1 tiger. But then again with smoke and blitz it is really easy to keep tigers alive. I use spearhead all of the time and laugh my way back to base after overextending Tiger and suffering no consequences. In: COH2 Balance

There are two scenarios where a Stuka can actually hurt you; 1. You are camping. 2. Your opponent is very good in predicting your (retreat) movement (aka skill). You can make the conclusion yourself. Thread: Which faction is most challenging for you?3 Nov 2014, 15:28 PM 1v1 Ostheer is tough for me. I feel like I am on the back foot all of the time and stretched thin. In team games when I don't have to worry about getting flanked I'm pretty good with them though. Team games I find US the hardest. You have to micro like crazy just to get mediocre results. Even on games where I really do well my damage done compared to opponents is not near as high as I can get it with Soviets. Every faction has their thing which can be used to good effect in team games by just about everyone. Sov=snipers and maxims, b4, ISU, etc. Ost=combined arms of doom, Tigers OKW=Sweet heavy tanks, obers. US=??? In: COH2 Gameplay

I've noticed if the grens are close to a wall or building that the shell hits there is a better chance the squad will wipe. Constantly have a single German model run straight through a deathball of 20 guns firing at him and making it out. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Matchmaking Hates Players Who Switch Factions6 Oct 2014, 16:17 PM I have probably played 400 hours as allies and I just recently switched to axis. Unfortunately it seems like the game thinks my skill level is the same with both factions and I keep getting matched against players who are way better than me. This past weekend I got matched against SturmTigerGiaA who is #3 as USF. I am ranked like #5000 as Ostheer. This stuff has happened a few times now and this does not make sense. It is hard to get better as Ostheer when I keep getting destroyed and frustrated. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Are kubelwagens OP14 Sep 2014, 01:23 AM What happened to Allies having the advantage early game and Axis having the advantage late game? Shouldn't Axis be on the back foot during the early game and not the other way around? Early game for US: Be ultra careful and maintain proper spacing or a squad will be forced to retreat because of a Kubel and you will be at a disadvantage. Since the Kubel is so fast and comes so early it can be anywhere. Having a squad retreat that early is a big deal. Late game for US: Be ultra careful or you will lose one of your paper tanks to superior Axis AT and be at a disadvantage. Who can afford the teching to hard counter a Kubel before a few squads are forced to retreat from this thing? This is why playing allies is not as fun. You feel like you are on the back foot and dealing with nonsense at all times. OKW and kubels are fun to play though. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Allies is hurting this game for new players.13 Sep 2014, 05:30 AM That guy's fury is impressive. The button nerf has me feeling almost like that. I would say just have them learn on German and deal with the wait times since the strategy for them is more noob friendly. Noobs don't understand how strong rifle squads can be with good positioning whereas German starting play is pretty self-explanatory. That guy and his right side ally obviously don't get that on first contact with ostheer you can't have all your guys in a line and spreading them out is the fun strategy but whatevs. I'm a long time ally player just switching to German and yes I have more fun playing as the Germans. They just have cooler stuff that works. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: gaurds button12 Sep 2014, 19:18 PM I complained about the nerf in the soviet strategy board since now I see Guards as a waste of a bulletin and I have to change my entire approach to Soviet strategy. In a game where leaflets falling from the sky cause a whole company of illiterate peasants to run home in fear I don't see why button was so unbelievable. Also it is still 40 muni, so stupid. Makes me want to Allied rage hard. Seems like Relic wants Soviets to be all about boring Maxim spam. I managed to play 500 hours of the game without ever resorting to maxim spam but this is the last straw. In: COH2 Balance
