I generally dont use tanks vs tank destroyers... But when they have tank destroyers id rather have a tank that can eat 6 hits rather than 4 and can shoot back from 10 meters closer. It doesnt cost the same. 125 OKW fuel is nearly as expensive as an ostheer panther in terms of mapcontrol/income rates. WHICH IS WHY the OKW panther costs 175 fuel. Despite it coming sooner and having 5 levels of vet. And why the OKW p4 is overpriced and is a no brainer unless your enemy is going to spam something like T34's or normal shermans. Just FYI, (and i know you dont play the game so i dont blame you for not knowing) BUT... SU85 and Jackson hard/soft-counter EVERYTHING in Ostheer T3 due to range advantage. Would be more accurate to say Ostheer T3 is better than Sov T3 but under Sov T4. Its abit of an "inbetweener", and yes it should be more expensive than Sov T3 BUT not at the current price, its still too much. In: COH2 Gameplay

For instance at some point you see that he already have a ATG. If is not a lobster or blockhead he would just destroy your light vehicle and get decisive economic advantage. So in this case there is no point of making T3 at all. You have a T2 and in this case you need double sniper to deal with hordes of infantry and pak. After sniper (2 always better) you would surely need T4 units. So you must be able to skip 1 tech building of your choice to build a T4. So why not make T4 available after any 2 buildings. A 6:30 T-70/HT Quad is not a waste in any game of any size if you know how to use it. And the SU76 is amazing. Im not a fan of the phrase but this is a l2p issue. In: COH2 Gameplay

There's no guarantee that the Soviets can hold onto half the map for long enough. Not to mention that the Ostheer have multiple, cheap ways of reinforcing like Fuel-less Bunkers (Cost munition but still...), cheap half tracks and that rare Repair HQ. For far superior infantry no less. Hardly fair, is it? While I do recognize the early Quad is a problem, I feel the cheap half track's ability to reinforce is crucial for keeping the Soviet's in the game if things don't go their way early on. Increasing the fuel cost is pushing back the Soviet ability to reinforce on the field. Quite dangerous for those who use Conscripts and Penals (No call in infantry). Of course, there's also another possibility we can pursue. What if we moved it's suppression buff to Vet 3 rather than have it from the start? Soviets generally are not as ammo demanding as other factions (since cons dont have a weapon upgrade). and a sov player will have around 220 ammo by the 6:30 marker if they own half the map. Alot of people skipped T3 totally before the last patch, so im not sure it would be a massive issue to have to pay an extra 15 fuel for the M5. But might make a player take more care of it than yolo it in with a quad cannon. Because 2-3 squad wipes is worth it ect. I dont mid your last suggestion either, but its unlikely Ostheer will have a shrek upgrade anyway by 6:30 if hes upgraded LMG's. The "force retreat" factor will still be there :/ In: COH2 Balance

I think the best option is to make it so Off-map ability and the On map artillery can't be used in bases sectors. I still don't like the fact that arty emplacement can just be two click out by axis. And like it has been pointed out OKW should be punished for placing there buildings to forward, but shouldn't be punish in the bases sector. The difference is BOTH allied factions have a call-in or unit counter to the Lefe. USF: Major recon + off map artillery (on multiple commanders, time on target ect) Priest Soviet: IL2 bombs Their own Artillery B4 Oshteer Light arty barrage Stukka bomb The problem is the OKW dont have any off-maps to reliably deal with it, Even the scavenge doctrine's artillery covers a wide area and doesn't hit exactly where you want it to, making it poor for sniping a single unit it its area of effect. and 180 ammo is a lot for a good chance that it will miss or at least fail to kill the gun. Just cheaper, comes later and takes time to upgrade. "panzershrek is useless against that" Panzershrek is also useless against american aa truck, 0 from 10 my aa trucks was killed by panzershrek. The main issue with the M5 quad isnt just the fact that it comes too early (6:30 if you rush it out)... BUT it has the capability to kill squads that are retreating and is alot cheaper than other HT's at the level it performs at. Imo it needs a fuel increase to 45/50 if its going to retain its current stats. If not then it needs a dps/suppression nerf. OR a set up time (so it cant run down squads in the first 7 mins).
